SikaCim® Waterproofer
Waterproofing Liquid Admixture for Concrete, Free from Chlorides

PRODUCT SikaCim® Waterproofer is a liquid admixture, free from chlorides, ready for
use for manufacturing waterproofing concrete. It react with moisture and
DESCRIPTION the free lime present in the capillary tract to form a non-soluble crystallize
structure within the pore system of concrete against water inflation.

USES
SikaCim® Waterproofer is used as a waterproofing admixture for concrete:

Swimming-pools, basements, reservoirs, waste water treatment stations.

Façade, walls, floor toppings.
Canals, wells, culverts, etc.

CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES
SikaCim® Waterproofer has the following advantages:
 Good waterproofing characteristics by obstruction of the capillary net
 Does not change the concrete or mortar mechanical resistances
 It is consistent with other SIKA admixtures without mixing them before
 It is free from chlorides
 Easy dosing
 It is consistent with all cements, except aluminous ones

TESTS APPROVAL / STANDARDS

Complies with BS 1881 with water absorption less than 2%

12 months from date of production if stored properly in undamaged and
unopened original sealed packaging in cool and dry conditions. Protect

SYSTEM INFORMATION
CONSUMPTION / COVERAGE DOSAGE AND CONSUMPTION
0.5-2.0% by weight of total cementitious materials. It is advisable to carry
out trial mixes to establish the exact dosage rate required.

NOTES ON APPLICATION / IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS

LIMITATIONS
SikaCim® Waterproofer is an admixture of normal setting, so should be
avoided water filtrations during the placing and total setting of the
concrete.

Materials and substrate low temperatures delay the setting and

hardening. This also takes place using “old” cements.

In case of contact with the skin, wash immediately with clean water.
