In the movie, John has a plan for his team that they will win in the next year’s

basketball game.
However, there are some problems that cause some people including the members of his team
to move from Franklin. So he was assigned to be a history teacher and a cross country coach,
in which he hates running and was not specialized in it. No one was interested to join the cross
country team except this 15 year old girl name Hannah Scott, who has an asthma. At first, John
did not believe that Hannah could do it, but the principal encourage him that he could coach her.
Then, in the hospital he met a guy named Thomas Hill who was a former of cross country
runner. They had some talk and realizes the guy John was talking to was Hannah’s father. But
Hannah did not know it since her grandma told her that her parents have died. John finally knew
the reasons behind why he was assigned to coach a cross country, this is God’s plan to make
Hannah and Thomas unite. God also plan John and Thomas to meet to make John and his
family closer to God. As John knew Thomas, he learn a lot about God and realize that to define
ourselves not only as a Christian but as the one who created us.

In a family, there are always conflicts between each other, and when that comes, it is difficult to
say sorry first because of our ego and pride. However, it will not solve the problems right away.
The best things we can do is to talk over the problems calmly and find solutions instead of being
quiet. God wants us to forgive people. When others are feel down, we shall be there by their
side to support and encourage them although we know it is a difficult situation for them. One
way to encourage them is to let them know that God let them broken because He loves us. As
we are part of God’s family, we must show love towards others. It is a difficult job especially
when we have to show love to the ones that might hurt or disappoint us before, but that is the
purpose of God created us.

From this movies, important values that I learn is that first when you find your identity in the one
who created you, it’ll change your whole perspective. Some people didn’t identify themselves as
a Christian in the first place because they don’t fully give your heart to God. When we choose to
live according to the world, we often lead to temptations and sins, and we don’t really know
God’s purpose and why he created us. But when we start to believe in God, we know if we are
doing right or wrong because he will lead us to the right path. We didn’t want His children to do
sins, he had sacrifice or us. The second thing is because God loves us, he let us broken. He
didn’t want His children to always enjoy excitement, he want us to learn how will us react if we
feel suffer, pain, broken, stressed. Will we remember God at times like this or instead we blame
God for it? The third is when you place faith in Jesus you are a brand-new creation as it is said
in 2 Corinthians 5 : 17. As I said before, we will be no longer live world point of view, but we will
live according to God’s point of view. “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through
Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation that God was reconciling the world to himself in
Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of
reconciliation.” ( 2 Corinthians 5: 18-19) The forth is we’ve all sinned, lied, stolen, hated, but
when we give our heart to Jesus, he tarts cleaning it. He forgive us for the things we did. He
takes better care of it than we ever could. As we put our heart to Jesus, we will feel fearless,
free from pain, renewed, strong and peace. The last is that we are created by God, he designed
us, so we are not a mistake. We are created to fulfill God’s purpose on earth and eternal life. He
called us His children, therefore, he is our Father. He has a future for us.
