The advantages and disadvantages of being a doctor

Becoming a doctor takes over six years of schooling to get full certification and
potentially even longer to begin your true medical life.Before you apply to med university
,take time to think at all the advantages and disadvantages.

First of all,doctors are required to take sacred oath-the Hippocratic oath-to ensure
that they will care the people,to show their abilities,to all the person who need them ,either
rich or poor.If you’re the type of person who enjoys helping people,this career gives you
the opportunity to provide service and support others in their medical problems.

Also,for those who value constant mental stimulation ,this job is perfect.Doctors always
learn on the job that medicines and technology are updating all the time.Every day they
apply all new medicines and science thechnology.

Not only,all these,you have a pleasure in teaching other students that wants to save
lives,and not only students even patinents about this job.

Another advantage is that the salary is not little.The job has also a higher social status.Like
it is said”a mother’s dream is to marry her child with a rich,smart doctor”.

On the other hand,a doctor has a lot of debts to pay which can take years to
pay.Still, long hours aren't behind you just because you've graduated med university and
residency.And once you become a doctor at the hospital you’ll pull many overnight and
emergency shifts.However,Once you begin practicing ,you loose a life,you will become more
emotionally. That, paired with the long hours, difficult procedures, stressful work
environment, and overwhelming responsibility often lead doctors to depression or at the
very least anxiety problems. No matter way you look at it, being a doctor is not easy and it's
certainly not for everyone. 

All in all , the medical field is full of some of the most respected scientists in the
world with doctors being chief among them. But the career is not for everyone. The long
hours, huge student debt, stressful work and years of educational preparation can deter
those not dedicated to the field. However, being a doctor comes with its fair share of
advantages like a high salary, rewarding life work and actually getting to make a difference
in the world.

Really, it comes down to whether or not you have the dedication and passion for
sticking with the medical field for over eight years just to get your career started. If you're
