ANSWER TO THE QUESTIONS

1. What is the difference between method and approach?

While approach refers to the way a teacher considers content while deciding how to teach
it, method refers to the way a teacher ultimately decides to teach it (for example, as a lecture,
an activity, a discussion, etc.). You can think of approach as a more general term that
encompasses planning and consideration and method as the specific way something is taught.

2. Have you had bad experiences in your English learning process?

No, my experience have been great, this is why I have gone very far since I started my English
Learning Process. I think that learning another language depend 90% of the student effort to
achieve it.

3. Do you consider that a teacher can use more than one English teaching method? Why?

As I said the method of teaching in very important, but explaining the most successful results
depend on many factors:
Every teacher develops a particular way of going about the complex task of teaching.
The way one introduces a topic, raises question, makes assignments- all these and hundreds
of other behaviors together make up a teacher’s classification by researchers, colleagues,
and students. Traditional teaching style is described as a teacher-directed approach while in
transitional style, both teacher and students
Are expected to assist each other during the teaching and learning process.
The logical and proper relationship and friendship of teachers' ratio with their students'
achievement and retention of learning should be considered too.

4. What do you know about English teaching methodologies? What is your favorite one?

Methodology is a system of practices and procedures that a teacher uses to teach. It will be
based on beliefs about the nature of language, and how it is learnt (known as 'Approach').

Example
Grammar Translation, the Audiolingual Method and the Direct Method are clear
methodologies, with associated practices and procedures, and are each based on different
interpretations of the nature of language and language learning.
In the classroom, many teachers base their lessons on a mixture of methods and approaches
to meet the different needs of learners and the different aims of lessons or courses. Factors in
deciding how to teach include the age and experience of learners, lesson and course
objectives, expectations and resources.

My favorite method is the English translation method because I allow the students to compare
two languages, their native language and the one they learn.

5. What do you think should be the role of the teacher in teaching in the classroom?
Teachers play vital roles in the lives of the students in their classrooms. Teachers are best
known for the role of educating the students that are placed in their care. Beyond that,
teachers serve many other roles in the classroom. Teachers set the tone of their classrooms,
build a warm environment, mentor and nurture students, become role models, and listen and
look for signs of trouble.

6. Do the materials used in the English classes play an important role in the teaching
process? Write some reasons.
Learning materials in teaching are crucial to the success of student achievement. That is, the
instructional components of lesson planning in teaching depend on the selection of teaching
materials. "Teaching materials" is a generic term used to describe the resources teachers use
to deliver instruction. Teaching materials can support student learning and increase student
success. Ideally, the teaching materials will be tailored to the content in which they're being
used, to the students in whose class they are being used, and the teacher. Teaching materials
come in many shapes and sizes, but they all have in common the ability to support student
learning.
7. Do you think motivation is related to the English learning methodology applied by
the teacher in the classroom?
Motivation plays a significant role in the process of learning a language. Language teachers
cannot effectively teach a language if they do not understand the relationship between
motivation and its effect on language acquisition. The core of motivation is what might be
called passion, which relates to a person's intrinsic goals and desires. Successful learners
know their preferences, their strengths and weaknesses, and effectively utilize strengths and
compensate for weaknesses. Successful language learning is linked to the learner’s passion.
And instructors should find ways to connect to this passion.

learn all the different processes to get into the student heart and accomplish the mission
of teach English in an extraordinary way.
