How do you use it? This is a variation of the primary show and tell. The students know that
the last week of every month they have to sign up to do an oral presentation on anything they
wish to bring in and share. The tool allows the teacher to assess the oral language
expectations during each presentation. The presentations can be from 1 – 2min. long and the
student must be prepared to answer questions at the end. Each month the students are given
their OLA assignment ahead of time and the rubric it will be assessed with so that they can be
prepared and parents are aware of the assessment criteria.
