Cabinet Mission Plan 1946 Describe the event The three Cabinet members divided India into three groups of Muslim-majority areas, Hindu-majority areas and Bengal, Assam Why was it a success? Congress accepted with some reservations regarding grouping and transfer of important powers of defence and foreign affairs, Muslim League saw it as a way towards Pakistan. Identify the failure of this event There was no guarantee of what would happen after British leave Why was it a failure?
