Renewable & Non-Renewable Resources

Reez Ricci Canete 7-Courage

A source or supply of which a benefit is produced is called

Resources. They are classified into renewable and non-renewable
resources. Renewable Resources are the resources that CANNOT be
depleted & are able to supply a continuous source of clean energy, on
the other hand, Non-renewable Resources, are the NATURAL
resources and cannot be replaced by natural means.

We rely on energy to provide us with almost everything we

need on a daily basis; Most of this energy comes from Fossil Fuels,
such as coal, oil, and natural gas. These are non-renewable
resources, which mean that we can never get any more if we use
them all up. It is important that we switch to other energy sources such
as sunlight, wind and water. These are the renewable resources, of
which are automatically or are constantly being replenished.

Currently, less than ten percent of all the energy we use

comes from renewable resources. So, you might be wondering, ‘if
renewable energy sources do not harm the environment and will not
run out, then why are we not using it everywhere and all the time?’ It is
because many of them, are inefficient, or have disadvantages.
