ABSTRACT

Frying Potatoes isn’t just your ordinary way of cooking potatoes but it is also one the popular
ways to cook potatoes that are accepted around the world. Although it doesn’t end there yet,
there are still different styles of fried potato such as French fries, Potato Wedge, Mojos, and
Fried Potato Balls. The group considered a variety of items and services that may be a likely
hit in the Philippine market, but the proponents ultimately settled on the concept of Mr. Crop
Man. Being innovative, the company would create a new type of food that would undoubtedly
capture the attention of our market. Furthermore, the group was able to formulate ideas that
double our product's marketability and potential success through an intense group discussion.

This paper will tackle the summary of the project, introduction and background of the study,
marketing aspect, technical aspect, management aspect, financial aspect, and sociology-
economic aspect when establishing Mr. CropMan in the Market. Students, Business Workers,
Senior citizens and other people will be covered as part of the respondents. The product will
be disseminated through direct selling and orders are also accepted from customers within
manila city for those who are willing to purchase our product.

NAME AND ADDRESS OF BUSINESS

Name of Business

The products that our team are planning to sell are crops which are the products made by
plants. And by the term ‘CROP’, it can give an identity to our company because it is very
different from the usual fried potato companies out there who also sell potato products, instead
of focusing on the main ingredient of the product, we have decided to use crop instead of
potato, because it symbolizes that we do not limit ourselves to only one product, that we are
capable of expanding and that our business is limitless. And adding a mister and man on its
name symbolizes every farmer who is continuously working hard to provide us with our needs.
That’s why our team has decided to name our business as Mr. CropMan.
Our logo, Mr. CropMan, is designed by one of our groupmates. As you can see, there is a
potato head that we imitated to capture the young minds and hearts of our customers, not only
the old that are young at heart but also those kids or pre-teens that are searching for that
mouth- watering and healthy potato ball which is Mr. CropMan.

Furthermore, we put our own style on Mr. Crop Man Head to attract the attention of markets.
It's a comic but it’s unique.

Location
Location of the Business

The chosen location for the business is located on Quirino Avenue, Julio Nakpil Street, Malate
Manila. It is easy to find since it is near the Philippine Women's University, and it is Along the
intersection of Taft Avenue as well. We find this location beneficial for our business because
of our target market such as unnumbered random lrt commuters, residents, and students, and
casual travelers. Placing Mr.Cropman near the people who randomly wait or pass by our
location will be a great opportunity for us to promote and create brand awareness of the
extraordinary flavor of our product, making them curious about what's different about this
potato. Whether they are employed or unemployed, student or professional, rich or needy, Mr
Cropman welcomes everyone.

VISION & MISSION

Vision

“The company’s vision is to bring high-quality, reasonably priced, and good-tasting mashed-
fried potatoes to their valued customers. We aim to be partners with our customers, our
employees; our community and our environment to become a recognized business in the
Philippines.”

Mission

“We commit ourselves to providing a unique and flavorful taste of mashed-fried potato at an
affordable and reasonable price. We also envision exceeding the expectations of our
customers by providing them the best service through competent and well-trained employees.
Lastly, the company aims to develop an ethically superior work-environment to further promote
the relationship of the workers as among and between themselves and the customers,
respectively.”

NATURE OF BUSINESS

Our Business will operate in a physical store which will be located in the Metro Manila area
because of the high populated commuters. Moreover, the business is designed for those who
are hungry yet are in a hurry. Since the product is widely acceptable, this would also cater to
the needs of those who are just in search of something to eat.

The concept of the flavor for Mr. Cropman is based on Filipino taste where they most likely
prefer meaty products with the variety of tuna and shrimp as well.

The plan for another food stall of Mr.Cropman will work after the success of our main physical
store. Mr.CropMan will have its designated Mr.Cropman representative that will cater the
online customers who will order online for their cravings. Mr.Cropman as delivery man is
merely like a personality that you can ask to get your own Crop balls and deliver it through
your home so customers who are not able to go outside, can still order to get their own crop
balls via Mr.Cropman’s website with one click away.

FUTURE OUTLOOK AND TRENDS

The plan and thoughts for carrying out this precise task came from the group's inherent ideas.
The group considered a variety of items and services that may be a likely hit in the Philippine
market, but we ultimately settled on the concept of Mr. Crop Man. When the group discovered
this product, they discovered that this particular idea does not yet exist on the market. Being
innovative, the company would create a new type of food that would undoubtedly capture the
attention of our market. Furthermore, the group was able to formulate ideas that double our
product's marketability and potential success through an intense group discussion.

Business partners will be able to put their experience and expertise to use what they learned
during their years of business school. Profit is, of course, one of the major benefits they will
receive. It will provide a source of income for each partner. This business will provide
experience as well as income. These experiences will benefit them in the future regardless of
the decisions they make. The business will also teach them people and business skills that
will help them become good businessmen and women. Therefore, with this enterprise, they
will be able to support themselves and their family through the salaries they will earn.

INDUSTRY AND MARKET FORECAST

We Filipinos love to discover foods around the world and even adapt to other country’s famous
food just like how we adapt to samgyupsal of south korea, takoyaki of Japan, siomai of China
and many more. We love to satisfy our cravings every day. As a matter of fact, since the
pandemic began, Filipinos really enjoyed the trend of making their own dalgona coffee, ube
cheese pandesal, leche flan, and etc. It just showed that we really enjoyed having food on our
daily basis. The article from Tropical Experience Travel Services website concluded that the
average that Filipinos eat for a day is five and these are for breakfast, morning snack, lunch,
afternoon snack and dinner. And sometimes we have this called a ‘Midnight snack’.
Furthermore, since the pandemic happened, we all have witnessed how the food industry and
customers suddenly changed due to the situation from being used to buy food in physical
stores to suddenly the rise of online delivery because of some quarantine and lockdown and
for security reasons. This is the reason why our group came up with the idea to have offered
food to Filipinos and establish a physical store theme with a twist from our usual known
product.

X. PRODUCTS / SERVICES

As has been described, our business is a food stall which offers a new food product which has
5 flavor options (Chicken, Tuna, Shrimp, Pork, Bacon) inside of our product. We are primarily
engaged in cooking finished products. We want people to taste our own invented Crop balls

MARKETING PLAN

The Marketing Aspect includes the general market, in-depth market analysis, competitors
analysis, and target market identification. It is also composed of market research which
consists of objectives, methodology, survey, survey questionnaires, sampling techniques and
the results of the survey. Followed by demand and supply analysis that consists of historical
and projected demand and supply for the business, projected sales and the marketing
strategies with its budget and plan of implementation.

General Market/ Industry Situation

This is the reason why our group came up with the idea to have offered
food to Filipinos and establish a physical store theme with a twist from our usual known
product.

Political Factor
Mr. CropMan is a physical store serving food in the industry therefore, one must be approved
by the FDA. Mr.CropMan must comply with the following.

Ordinance No. 8647. As stated by the IATF and approved by the Manilla City Council through
this law, Mr. CropMan will comply by the said ordinance. Assuring that the business does not
open before 5 a.m. and closes after 10 p.m. as its operating hours.

Republic Act (RA) No. 9711. The "Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Act of 2009" legislated
and implemented regulations, guidelines, and standards to ensure the quality, efficacy, and
safety of products on the market as the pandemic began. They have registered for a license
to operate, which requires all businesses that deal in sales, services, or retail to have medical
devices such as non-contact thermometer scanners in order to track and monitor customers
or the covid 19 Law Lab. As a result, Mr. CropMan must comply with the legislation and will
have the medical equipment required by the law in order to function during times of pandemic.

Economic Factor

Businesses like Mr. CropMan's are at risk during the event due to the Philippine economic
crisis in 2020 as a result of the covid-19 epidemic, as the Philippines has been encouraged to
prepare for the consequences of global inflation. It has an impact on the demand for some
business products, and it will have an impact on our supply of ingredients, so quality or price
may alter.

Social Factor

People nowadays, particularly in Metro Manila, are mostly practicing and adopting a new
lifestyle of buying whatever they need online, including foods, goods, and even services.
Especially because the government has imposed social distancing since the pandemic began,
and it represents a threat to some businesses, such as ours, because some customers may
have grown accustomed to it, even though it is not mandatory anymore. Mr. CropMan will be
affected if individuals continue to adopt social distance, and a new lifestyle adapted by people
to order online will lessen the probability of them visiting stores.

PROMOTION (ONLINE AND PHYSICAL)

The goal of promotion is to raise brand recognition, generate interest, build brand loyalty, and
develop a positive business relationship. For those that seek online, Mr. CropMan will provide
a social media approach and online marketing, with promotional methods that will be
distributed across Mr. CropMan's various social media channels.

Facebook

Facebook is a social networking website that allows users to create their own accounts,
change their profiles, and instantly interact with their friends. Facebook is quite popular among
Filipinos because it is mostly used for chatting with friends and relatives, coworker activities,
advertising, and so on. Mr. Cropman's Facebook page will be the primary social media tool
for announcing events, promotions, and online service bookings, among other things.

Instagram

Instagram is the perfect photo and video-sharing program that can be downloaded for free on
most smartphones. People can share their images and videos, along with captions, with their
followers or a select group of friends. "Instagram Stories" is a new feature on Instagram that
allows you to share all of your daily moments, not just the ones you wish to retain on your
profile. As you share various photographs and videos, your story will appear in a slideshow
format.
Twitter

Twitter is a microblogging site where each "tweet" is limited to 140 characters or less and can
be freely altered by the user depending on the reason.

Coupons/Gift Vouchers

Customers will receive coupons for their convenience, especially during the month of
February, when Valentine's Day is celebrated. Each of the first 50 people will receive a coupon
for 50 pesos off any Mr. CropMan product.
Tarpaulin

The tarpaulin will be used as a promotional tool for our company to inform the public about

our product, including its price, menu, and package options. Aside from that, events and
announcements will be visible on the tarpaulin to draw our consumers' attention.
