Brief Company History

Working in at a water station, Ms. Del Rosario, Rachel decided to start herself a
new business knowing that there is a vacant room at her house, she then decided
to start her new business there and established her own water station,
Aquaworld, on September 8, 2018. Just like any other startup businesses out
there, she also had a rough time because there were also other water stations
available around her location. She considers herself and her business lucky when
they sell around 10 containers of water a day because it seemed like nobody was
buying her product. But because she has an incredible location for her business
(Blk 15, Lot 1, Marytown Circle Greenfields 1, Novaliches, Quezon City), She
worked really hard and hired two employees for other work and also had two
motor bike sidecar used for customers order. In case of a power outage there is a
generator in his business for continuous operation. She was very hands-on to her
water station and she made sure that her products are always clean. Ms.
Delrosario also welcomed the friendly competition present with the other water
station. She said that the reason why there is a letter “S” at the end of the word
“ECONOMICS” is because the more competitors there are, the healthier the
competition will be. She has really hard time to sell her product.

INTRODUCTION:
The Company needs innovation to contribute a healthy and vibrant Filipino
community in the future.

Having a clean drinking water in every household is becoming an important


commitment that we want to share with Aquaworld. As we try out practical
innovative user-centered solutions, Aquaworld’s main agenda is focused on the
purpose of providing good water quality.

While we think of innovative solutions that water-filled businesses can take


advantage of to improve their business processes and realize business growth, we
also give every Filipino a convenient access to clean and safe drinking water.

For customer benefits, they can get enough water every time they need it,
they can assure a clean water from refilling stations, most of them offer delivery.
It will be easy for them to ask for water supply all the time.
I. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY:

Water refilling station becomes an alternative solution in drinkable water.


Household, offices, food establishment and others rely on the clean water
produced by Water refilling stations to meet the basic needs on daily living.

Aquaworld company is owned by Ms. Rachel Delrosario and was


established in 2018 on September. The water station is located at Marytown
Circle Greenfields, Novaliches QC. This company offers a safe, clean and purified
water in a reasonable price that can be purchased per gallon, and also to provide
quality water to the community at all times.

Our team observe that the company’s desire is to help the community by
providing quality water but because of some rumors and issues, the company
might decreases sales and may result of net loss. So our team proposed to comply
the Government regulatory requirement of the company to legalized and securely
provide clean and quality products for customers. As far as we concern the study
needs to focus on the Food Safety Management System for a better purpose of
providing quality water supply.
II. OBJECTIVES:

The main goal of these study is to acquire equipment for the operation of a
water station as well as acquisition of vehicles to deliver water to our consumers.

To enhance the various steps in purifying water in order to maintain the


highest quality of water purification.

To provide customer needs thru an efficient delivery system and a quick


response on their orders and quarries. To maintain the loyalty of present
consumers and attract other market segments, also to sustain the profitability of
the business and aim to branch out to other locations.

IV. ALTERNATIVE COURSE OF ACTION:

The company suffers on monitoring their production inventory daily , it needs a


system for them to check and oversee all transactions. So we proposed to
conduct an inventory using gallon in a daily basis to see how many can produce
per day. As technology modernization arises, we also proposed to have POS
system to track sales and inventory per day. This system provides inventory
system in a daily basis, as per transaction punched in the POS it will automatically
deducted in the inventory. This will help the company to monitor the inventory
system.

Water treatment is a necessity in every community especially in water refilters.


This is the reason why we come up in a system where we can maintain the
efficiency of the water filters in the company. Equipment’s are very useful in the
company to filter water and provide it to the customer. We proposed to have an
annual check-up in an authorized engineer or service provider to conduct
equipment check and maintenance, this will help the production in preventing
breakdown of the tools and equipment. Also, Inspecting water tank and pressure
nozzle and replacing filters every 6 to 9 months or a maximum of 12 months.

Delivery system is part of company’s marketing Campaign to provide such good


service to customer. As the company faces lack of delivery vehicle and late
deliveries, we proposed to have a Scheduled delivery system which we provide a
3 day delivery in a week probably M-W-F (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). We
will ask customers a day before the delivery on how many gallons of water to be
delivered. This might be lessen the late deliveries issue and the lack of delivery
vehicle. When it comes to the delivery vehicle it is not necessarily need to double
the number of vehicle used because we conducted a scheduled delivery which is 3
times a week.

As are proposed Scheduled in the delivery it prevents the undelivered deliveries


to the customer. As the process of it, we will advise all our customers even all
walk in customers to know their orders a day before the deliveries for us to adjust
and prepared water deliveries for them.
In payment system, upon receiving the delivery we will issue a receipt in exchange
of the cash payment by the customer. The receipt issued and the amount is based
on their order before the delivery day. Mode of payment will only be cash basis.
Soon will be come up with online payment system for the convenience in service.

Sales Monitoring is one of the important thing to monitor in terms of profitability


and Inventory. Our team proposed to upgrade sales monitoring system by using
POS (Point of Sale) System. This kind of POS system will monitor not just the sales
but also the inventory. The system is designed to monitor the sales per
transaction and the system will automatically proceed to inventory management
system. This will prevent the wrong inputs, count of the sales and inventory.
This will benefit the stock control system and can increase store profitability in
terms of product availability thru inventory management.

One of the main problem in this kind of business is water interruption. This could
be the cause of delays, lessen the sales and sustainable profitability of the
business.
We proposed to connect the water system in commercial basis, this would be a
continuous supply of water in the business because such commercial type
connection is one of the priority in supplying water by the provider on cases of
water interruption in the area. Secondly, we proposed to have a backup tank to
stock on water in such cases of water interruption. Water on tank will last till 5 to
10 days without contact in other elements or chemicals. Consistently complying
the government regulatory requirement provides legalization and permit to
operate as such on providing quality water products. This will fall to maintenance
of the cleanliness and sanitation of the business.

V. SCOPE AND DELIMITATION:


Scope and Limitations of the Study In conducting the analysis, we need to
consider the number of households of the proposed location where the business
is located in Novaliches, Quezon City. The study focuses on Marketing,
Management, Process, Technical and even financial aspects of the business. The
results of this study are limited to information gathered by advocates from
business companies and government agencies related to the knowledge of the
proposed business.

SIGNIFICANCE:

Improvise water filter, indeed, plays an important role in society. It benefits


all persons from different places especially those who are not always having clean
water supply. It helps all persons to have a cleaner water to use. It will also
benefit those who are depriving themselves of spending to much in
commercialized water filters, as well benefit those people who are
environmentally friendly.
Improvised water filter will benefit them in a way that all their wants and
needs will be provided, and satisfy them when it comes to what they most likely
wanted to happen.

IX. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION:


Water refilling stations can be a good source of safe drinking water in the
Philippines.Purified water can meet the aesthetic standards easily detectable by
the people in terms of taste,odor and color.
The efficient water purification processes can make the quality of water
superiorto the traditional water systems. However, the risk of contamination is
possible if the handlingpractices are not closely monitored.
To ensure the production of safe water in water refilling stations and avoid
waterbornediseases, the following aspects all have to be in place: compliance of
operators to all sanitaryrequirements of PD 856; capability of water laboratories
to conduct complete and accurate watertesting and analysis; proper operation
and maintenance of water purification equipment; skills oflocal health office to
conduct sanitary surveys and water quality monitoring; a programme forwater
source protection; and a vigorous information campaign on how to keep
delivered water safe at home.
RECOMMENDATION:
Water is very essential for our daily life routine. People need to drink water in
order to live. However, because of human introduction, directly or indirectly, of
substances into the marineenvironment, our waters become polluted and
undrinkable. Because of the high demand for cleaner water, starting a water
refilling station business becomes one of the most promising and profitable
business today. Decide if you want to put up your own water refilling station or
