INSTRUCTION OF USING TRANS IN ONLINE LEARNING


FOR STUDENT

Step 1: Download the software


Open browser and go to website https://trans.naviconference.com/, select suitable version for
your device operating system (iOS, Android, Window, Mac).
Download and Install
*Notes: Students have to using devices that have webcam and microphone.

Step 2: By the beginning of the lesson, students launch the software. Select “Sign in”

- On “Email or phone number”, types as follows: ISEST Your student ID number; or your
university student email (@st.vimaru.edu.vn)
For example: IF your student ID is 12345, please type “ISEST12345”
- On Password, type “123456a@” for your first time sign in (you could change your
password on the setting later on)
In case you used your VMU for registering the ID before, please continue to use your own
password to sign in.
If you have any problem in signing your ID, you could use “Free join” and change your name
as instructed in Step 4. After the class, you could ask for help by contacting Mr. Ngo Ngoc Ha.

Step 3: Type class ID (Notified on Weekly Schedule)

Step 4 (only if you choose “Free join”): Students click on “Participants” Tab/ Then
“Rename” and fill your full name (For checking attendance and interact during classes)
*Notes: With free join each time you attend the class, you have to rename.
Step 5: During the study, students turn off video and audio (mute audio)

When you need to speak, click on More and select "Raise hand". The teacher will invite
you to speak and you click on "Start my video".
Students can chat with lecturers and other friends by going to Participants Tab:

When the teacher shares a slide, his/her video will be zoomed out in the corner of the
screen. Click into that to zoom in again (in case the teacher draws on the board)

Step 6: When doing a group presentation, the student chooses “Share Screen” (make sure
no other one is sharing the screen at that time).

Choose “Desktop 1” to present slides.


After sharing the screen, everybody including the lecturer can see your laptop screen. The
presenter have to turn on the micro and webcam, and the one who shares screen takes
reponsibility to turn the slides.

When students finish the presentation, choose “Stop Share” on the top of the screen.

Step 7: At the end of the class, students choose to "Leave meeting".

Step 8: If the assignment is in essay format, the class monitor will assist the lecturer to
collect all submissions in electronic version from other students and send to the lecturer in
a single email.

*REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS DURING ONLINE CLASSES


- Set up the software and read carefully the structure
- Check the schedule and class ID on Semester Schedule and Weekly Schedule on ISE
website/facebook
- Prepare for the class according to lecturer’s requirement
- Follow the lecture on your screen, interact with the lecturer during the class
- Other disciplines are the same as the contact class
