With the increasing number of professionals entering the

maritime industry, it is important that there is an organization
which protects and educates the rights of maritime
professionals no matter where they are.

Each country has its own maritime union or an organization

which helps the seafarers with several important activities.

The Maritime Union of India (MUI) established on 3rd Dec.

1939, the only union representing Indian Merchant Navy
officers . It continues to cater to the needs of it’s members,
because – We Care !

With nearly 45 years having gone by since I started sailing on
ships – I can proudly say that this great profession has not only
fulfilled all my ambitions, but, also given me much more than I
ever imagined

Whether it was my early days at sea, the training that I received

from my seniors and colleagues, or the mistakes that I made, but
learnt from – each moment of this profession has had something
to teach.

India is a fore runner when it comes to supplying competent

professionals to the global Maritime Industry. Your predecessors
have toiled hard to earn a name for Indians in the Maritime Arena

We offer the Following Pre Sea, Basic safety Courses and Advanced STCW DG
Shipping approved courses at our campus in New Delhi. The institute is housed
in a specious place with good learning environment.

Pre Sea GP Rating course : Scheduled to commence from 01st July 2019. Intake : 120

Eligibility criteria : Education : Minimum class 10th or above with overall 40% marks and 40% marks in
English either in class 10th or 12th. Must has studied Maths and science in class 10th.

Age :Between 17.5 to 25 yrs as on the day course starts

Medical Standard : Eyes should be 6/6 with no aids, No coloured blindness, No deformity in body.

Pre Sea Dip in Nautical Science (DNS) commenced from 1st August of every year Intake : 40

Minimum Pass class 12th with Maths, Physics and Chemistry with an aggregate of 60% and has secured 50%
marks in English at 10th or 12th standard. Pass the Online All India common entrance Test conducted by the
Indian Maritime University Chennai.

Basic Safety Course ({Composite Safety Course} :

This is set of 04 basic safety courses. It covers the Personal Survival Training, Fire Prevention and Fire
Fighting, Personal safety & Social Responsibility and Elementary first aid course. Normaly conducted twice in a
month with an intake of 24 students. Duration 11 days fees 24,000/ (Twenty four thousand only) . Institute
issues one single certificate.
