This activity shows how they interconnect with each other.

THE THREE CRAZY COUSINS
1. In this activity, pupils are given an example of how fraction is connected as a division
fact.
2. Pupils then divide the rectangle into the given equivalent parts and shade the appropriate
fraction.
3. Pupils go on to solve simple long division to prove the the link bet ween division, fraction
and decimal.
4. Pupils find the equivalent percentage by multiplying the decimal number with 100%.
5. Part 2 goes on to explore some other fractions that were missed out in the earlier part.
This would reinforce their understanding of equivalent fractions and whole fractions.
6. Pupils summarize all the given fractions in a final page which can be displayed in the
classroom for memory enhancement.
