How to post your child’s work in their individual portfolio in Class Dojo

Teaching and learning is always a two-way process. It is not going to be any different in remote
learning during this period of time. While you and your child are enjoying the activities at home,
we would also like to document the learning milestone of your child and share the joy of learning
with you.

Here are some steps to upload photos of your child’s work or even videos of some wonderful
moments during the learning process in your child’s individual portfolio. Rest assured that only
the school, your child’s teachers, and yourself are accessible to the portfolio.

1. Launch the Class Dojo app, login to your parent account.

2. Click on the account information (circled in orange) on your left top corner.
3. There will be drop down of accounts. Click on your child’s name.
4. It will then bring you to your child’s portfolio. You will see your child’s class name. Click
on the class name.

5. To upload something new into your child’s portfolio, click on the ‘+’ sign (circled in
orange).
6. Once you’ve clicked on the ‘+’ sign, you can choose from the options given of what you
want to upload into your child’s portfolio.

b. If you want to take a photo on the spot or upload a photo from your phone
album, choose the photo option;
c. If your child wants to upload a digital drawing into their portfolio, choose the
drawing option;
d. If you want to create a journal which includes a simple caption with either photo,
video or drawing, choose the journal option.

7. Here, we will show you how to upload a photo from your phone album. Now, the app will
enable your phone camera, you may take a photo on the spot OR choose the photo
thumbnail (circled in orange) on your left bottom corner to select a photo from your
phone album.
8. Once you’ve selected a photo, you may click on the pencil icon (circled in orange) to
edit the photo. The editing tools include handwriting, text and class dojo monster
stickers.
9. Once you’ve done editing the photo, insert a simple caption to document your child’s
learning. After that, click on the next button on the right top corner (circled in orange).

10. Now, your post will be pending for teacher's approval. Our teacher may approve your
post in a day or two.
