The application is under secttion14 and 15 read with section 18(1) & (2) of NGT act 2010

This application is regarding rampant encroachment and pollution of water body (johar) fling
Khasra village Saidulajab, nNew Delhi.

Land mafia and encroachers have over time completely destroyed the character of the water
body by filing it up with malba and soil and levelling the same with the nearby areas. Build
and constructed there are rest space is used as parking lot or for commercial purpose. Nearby
trees are also chopped down. The ground is also contaminated. Inspection took place on
24/12/10 but still no actions were taken. A boundary wall can be constructed in order to save
johar.

The wet lands should be saved and government officials should perform statutory duty in
order to save this water body and impose heavy penalty on the respondents.

Total 7 respondents are in this case. Not all the respondent have send the replies yet. Rs,
20000 has to be paid by them which would be payable to the central pollution control board.

Prayer
The applicant requests to check the inspection report and action should be taken accordingly
by the Hon’able Tribunal as soon as possible. And Heavy penalty should be imposed on
respondents and the land mafia and water pollution should be stopped.
