Lesson Title: Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves

Time Frame: 50 minutes

2. Comprehend the story entitled “AliBaba and The Forty Thieves”

3. Differentiate Reality to Fantasy

4. Appreciate the importance of being grateful and disadvantage of greediness.

II. Subject Matter

Literary Appreciation: Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves


Reality vs. Fantasy

III. Materials: Manila papers cut out pictures of gifts, cacti, camels and serpents,
drawing/pictures of the scenes, copies of the Arabian folktale “The Wonder Tree” , bond papers,
pencils and power point presentation.

The students will be paired. In pairs, they will


discuss to one another answers to questions:

answers you have to share with a partner.

Before we start our activity, let us first establish
the ground rules:

a) Listen and participate with the activity.

b) Respect your classmate’s ideas.

c) Recitations are graded. Anyone who is


caught making too much noise will have
deduction on the recitation points.

story is also about treasure. We will watch the
story entitled “Ali Baba and the forty thieves”. But Jumbled words:
before we watch it, let us discuss vocabulary 1. Thief

B. Lesson Proper

paper and write down these nine guide questions
which you have to answer.

each Kingdom drawing materials: bond paper and
a pencil). You will have two minutes to do the task.
