Diday’s Delicacies is a family owned business which offers Filipino delicacies and pasalubong inside the
mall. The company started way back 1990’s through joining food exhibits and later on decided to open a
branch inside the Robinsons Mall-Iloilo City around year 2009.

OPERATION
The transaction of the store mostly is through consignment terms.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

The owner identifies that their strengths are the strong bond of the company from its suppliers. Filipino
delicacies are still salable in the market. They are the only store in the mall which specializes on kakanin.
Their weaknesses are the expensive rentals. Lack of presence in the internet. Lack of marketing efforts.

EXPANSION PLANS

The company tried to expand its business by opening 2 branches at Robinsons-Jaro and Robinsons –
Roxas but later on were closed. Robinson’s Jaro was closed due to the lack of traffic inside the mall while
Robinson’s Roxas was closed due to the difficulty in terms of logistics.

The company doesn’t have mission and vision statement or any direction that the company wanted to
be as of the moment. Thus, you are tasked to help the company by creating a simple strategic plan to
help the business.
(The data was gathered by an interview with the owner’s daughter and previously the store supervisor.)
