1 –Read “Apple goes global” case at the end of Chapter 1 and answer all questions at the end of
the case.

2- If you look at Exhibit 3-4, you may not like the data shown, or it may not make since to you.
Link this to the systematic study concept and reveal why this figure may not be factual. It just
may be totally wrong.

3- In the USA, they have something called “Affirmative action” and “EEO”. What are they? And
should we have it in our country?

4- Show a morale survey from your own work place or form the internet. Discuss it and show
how often should it be used.

5- If you are an HR manager, you should try to emphasize the employee engagement concept in
everything you do. Show how the following can be used to help employees be engaged:

a) hiring interviews,
b) annual performance evaluation,
c) training need analysis,
d) coaching,
e) career management and
f) benefits and incentives.
