IV . OBJECTIVES
The purpose of discipline is the study of the principles of creation and functioning of
the storage devices (SD) of a computer. On completion of mastering of this discipline the
student is capable and ready:
1. to analyze scientific and technical information, to study domestic and foreign
experiment on design of the memory computer;
2. independently to make technical solutions by development of operational
memories on the chips of memory released by the industry;
3. objectively to estimate a status and perspectives of development of means of
information storage. To acquaint being trained with the current state and
perspectives of development of means of information storage.

- Storage devices computers;
- Elements and chips of memory of static type;
- Modules of memory of operational memories;
- Memory classification;
- Elements and chips of memory of dynamic type;
- Constant memories, register memories, the associative memories;
- Data recording on a magnetic surface external storage devices;
- Magnetic memories;
- Optical memories.
Students achieve less than 80% class attendance and participation will not be able
to attend final exam.
