C. Course Description:

This course provides effective solution for (1) enhancing port construction, organization,
management, and (2) enhancing logistics service development since Vietnam lies in a potential
location which is near the maritime core routes, with competitive advantage in natural conditions
for developing port, especially deep-sea ports and transshipment terminals. To exploit those
potential advantage, there must be ultimate solution for those port costruction, operationa,
management and logistics service development activities.

Besides, this course also prepare students with thorough understanding about Vietnam upcoming
strategies for port development.

H. Assessment Methods (Requirements for Completion of the Course):


1. Description of learning outcomes assessment
Lecturers will suggest presentation topics for students to work in group (from 5 to 10 people).
After presentation, there will be discussion, questions and answers. Presentation count for 20% of
the total points. Mid-term test on paper will be about provided knowledge. Final test will (will be
set by the Training Department) include multiple choices quiz and writing which count for 60% of
the total points.
