Dear Ms. Hancock

Through the Arizona Education Employment Board website, I was excited to discover you are in need of
a high school Librarian. Having always had a passion for books and a love of sharing and encouraging
that passion with others, I believe I would be a great candidate for this position.

With my previous office management experience, I created systems of information organization as

needed. This required an extensive amount of flexibility, creative approaches to problem solving, and
adaptability. Utilizing extensions of the computer and mobile apps already in use, I introduced more
effective and innovative communication methods, as well as other programs that proved quite useful.
During my time in this position I not only trained incoming employees but also wrote training manuals
for the various roles in the company in order to provide new personnel with a solid foundation from
which to build upon and best succeed.

Over time, I have developed the skills to create interpersonal relationships with diverse groups of
individuals. I enjoy learning about other people, getting to know the varied interests they have, and
helping them follow those pursuits. I find that such skills are very useful when interfacing with students,
and one of the best ways to inspire their interest in a subject.

Overall, I would be thrilled to become a new member of a team of educators with such strong core
values. Please review my attached resume, and if you have any questions or concerns regarding my
previous experience or achievements, feel free to contact me at osprick@asu.edu. I know my passion
for literature, belief in diversity, proficiency with technology, and strength in organization would be an
asset to help further students’ education and pursuits of knowledge for both academic and their
personal interests.
Sincerely,

Olivia Sprick
