It is with great pleasure that I am seeking to secure a secondary English teaching position within your
school district. My instructional and classroom management abilities, combined with my strong
interpersonal skills and work ethic would greatly benefit your educational program.

As an educator, I hope to motivate students in achieving their inner strengths and abilities to discover what
truly inspires them. I aim to provide an engaging learning environment that encourages students to
participate in classroom activities and discussions, in order for students to gain confidence and take
responsibility for their learning experience.

Through my teaching experience thus far, I am devoted to analyzing and evaluating my own abilities as an
educator, and have the insight to find ways to improve and plan for the future. My ability to design lessons
that meet the Common Core and Indiana State Academic Standards as well as providing a variety of
activities in each lesson to keep students interested and on task is exemplary. I am capable of meeting the
challenges of adolescents without feeling intimidated, and I possess a natural ability to discuss topics that
include a wide range of student levels.

I have come to understand throughout my professional career the importance of being flexible regarding
course content, class scheduling, and other changes deemed necessary by school administrators. I believe
that this attitude aids in fostering good collaborative relationships with faculty, parents, and other team
members, as well as providing a more positive learning environment for students.
