San Mateo County Probation

400 County Center, Redwood City, CA 94063

Dear Hiring Manager,

As an experienced Group Supervisor, the announcement for the opening of

Probation Officer with San Mateo County Probation Department sparked my
interest. I was excited when hearing the position had opened up. I find that my skills
meet the position requirements and our departments mission statement.

I have been with the San Mateo County Probation Department for a total of over four
years. I first started out as a paid Intern (Extra Help) with the Probation Department for a
little of a year. While interning I worked side by side with approximately six probation
officers. I assisted them in many court related documents and having
contact/communication with clients regarding their probation. In my Group Supervisor
role, I have sharpened my abilities in juvenile probation management and corrections
support. My problem-solving, people-centric nature, and compassion have afforded me
excellent communication skills.

I am excited to contribute my talents and proficiency in leadership toward our

Probation’s mission statement. I plan to contribute by being an engaging communicator,
and applying my skills and experience, in court report documentation and knowledge of
the different databases the our probation department uses. As a group supervisor I have
also built great respect, communication and report with clients, which would be valuable
to the Probation Officer position

I would appreciate the opportunity to interview at your earliest convenience. I'm eager to
discuss how my personality and background fit the Probation Officer role.

Thank you for your time and consideration of my candidacy.

I appreciate your consideration.

Best regards,

Gabrielle Curincita
