MEANING:
Prepositional verbs use the literal meanings of verbs; phrasal verbs tend to be
idiomatic

WORD ORDER:
The object of prepositional verbs always comes immediately after the
preposition, which in turn comes immediately after the verb. For phrasal verbs,
prepositions and objects can often be rearranged without issue.
