This journal article compares the findings of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and panoramic radiographs in detecting maxillary molar root protrusion into the maxillary sinus. CBCT was found to be more accurate than panoramic radiographs at identifying instances where tooth roots had protruded into the maxillary sinus. The presenter was a dentist named Raedi Mahardika who discussed the article in March 2020 as part of their specialist training program in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Indonesia.
