ICEL Cohort Introduction

Determining Group Focus

1. Display the list of professional learning topics already aligned to your
tenet of learning (ICEL).
2. Brainstorm and add additional learning topics to the list.
3. Combine any like topics to narrow down the list.
4. Count the total learning topics listed and divide the number by 3. N/3
will provide the number of votes each participant is allowed.
5. Participants may divide their votes however they prefer, including
using all votes for one learning topic.
6. Read the first learning topic aloud. Participants will indicate (by hand)
how many votes they are assigning the learning topic.
7. Record the total number of votes beside the learning topic.
8. Repeat steps until all topics have been voted on.
9. Identify the top three learning topics with the highest number of votes.
