ANNUAL HEALTH CHECK UP

❖ All Executives and Branch Heads are eligible irrespective of age


❖ All other employees above 45 years of age are eligible
❖ Can be claimed once in a calendar year
❖ Spouse is also eligible along with the employee to undergo tests.
❖ Employees may undergo any tests of his/her choice within the overall limit
❖ Health check up to be done at the Hospital of work place/place of official residence. Prior
permission from HO:SWD required for Health Check up at other places

FREE EDUCATION BENEFIT SCHEME

❖ First 2 children are eligible


❖ Tuition fees or cost of books at `200/- p.m. per annum per child upto 12th standard is eligible.
❖ `2,400/- p.a. is eligible for UGC recognised degree courses upto maximum of 4 years.
(Engineering and Medicine course come under this category).
❖ Reimbursement is made against bills and pass certificate.
❖ Scheme is renewed every year during August/September.
LUNCH EXPENSES

❖ `350/- per month is eligible for all employees including probationary and PTS on scale wages
as lunch expenses.
❖ Employees on leave during the entire month are not eligible.
❖ Claims to be made before the end of the succeeding month and no provision for carry forward

❖ Eligible amount for purchase of prosthesis is `5,000/- per dependent as a one time measure.

quotation/invoice of the prosthesis to be purchased to be submitted to HO:SWD through the
respective Regional Offices.

HOLIDAY HOMES

❖ Functioning at Mumbai, Munnar, Kodaikanal, Goa, Tirupathi and Shirdi

Homes except Mumbai and `200/- for deluxe room and `400/- for executive suite at Mumbai
❖ Maximum permissible stay is 3 days and 3 nights

EYE CHECK UP/COST OF SPECTACLES

❖ All employees who have completed 3 years of service and above are eligible irrespective of
the age.
❖ `2,000/- ( wef 01/04/2014 ) to be reimbursed as one time measures against bills/receipts

SILVER JUBILEE AWARD

(219/1998/BC, 152/2008/BC, 34/0012/CYC dated 22.05.2012)

❖ Employees who have completed 25 years of unblemished service are eligible for 5,000/- as
Silver Jubilee Award.
❖ For the purpose of awarding Silver Jubilee Award to ex-servicemen their Defence service will
also be taken into account provided they complete a minimum of 10 years of unblemished
service in the Bank and total of 25 years of service including Defence service.
❖ Light refreshments for all staff members at branch/office can be arranged at a nominal cost of
`20/- per head while conferring the Silver Jubilee Award to the eligible employees.

❖ Health Insurance Scheme for the benefit of both serving as well as superannuated
employees/spouse of the deceased superannuated employees/spouse of the employees dying

GROUP SAVINGS LINKED INSURANCE SCHEME

❖ Functioning under tie up with LIC of India


❖ 35% of the monthly contribution of the members is apportioned towards risk premium and 65%
forms the savings component
❖ Insurance coverage and monthly contribution of members is as follows:
Executives – `8.00 lakhs `800/-
Officers - `6.00 lakhs `600/-
Clerks - `4.00 lakhs `400/-
Sub staff - `2.00 lakhs `200/-

❖ Savings component along with interest will be refunded at the time of cessation from service
during superannuation/voluntary retirement/resignation etc by LIC of India.
❖ On the event of unfortunate death of the GSLIS member the insurance cover and savings
component with interest will be settled by LIC of India.

❖ As per IRDA latest Guidelines the Employees joined in bank on or after 01/09/2013 are
not Eligible to become members of the Scheme. The amount was refunded to all
employees joined in the scheme on or after 01/09/2013

❖ Modifications in the premium amount on account of change in cadre due to promotions will be
accounted by LIC of India during the annual renewal of policy i.e., every September. Changes
if any to be incorporated should be informed to HO:SWD by the end of July in the calendar
year.

EMPLOYEES PERSONAL ACCIDENT RISK COVER

❖ Workmen employees and officers upto scale III are covered under the scheme.
❖ Compensation is paid on unfortunate event of death or serious injury due to accident as below:
Scale III - `5.00 lakhs Scale II - `4.00 lakhs
Scale I - `3.00 lakhs Clerks - `2.40 lakhs
Sub Staff - `1.60 lakhs PTS - `1.20 lakhs

❖ Compensation payable in case of unfortunate event during office hours is 100% and after office
hours is 75%

GROUP PERSONAL ACCIDENT POLICY FOR EXECUTIVES

is United India Insurance Co. Ltd.

❖ Risk coverage is as below:

YOGA PROGRAMME

(585/2009 dated 04.11.2009)

❖ Yoga programme can be organized at centers having minimum 10 branches.


❖ Spouse/parents/children’s are eligible
❖ Minimum participants should be 20 and the proramme can be conducted for a maximum period
of one month
❖ Maximum two programmes in a year are permissible.
❖ Expenditure of `5,000/- to `15,000/- can be incurred for the programme.

BENEFITS FOR DECEASED EMPLOYEES

❖ Funeral expenses: `15,000/- to be released immediately to the family members of the


deceased employee against stamped receipt for performing funeral rites.

❖ Death relief scheme: On the sad demise of employees who were members of the Death Relief
Scheme (DRS) an amount of `2.05 lakhs is being paid at present as compensation to the legal
heirs under the DRS scheme. The monthly voluntary contribution of the members to the
scheme is as follows:

❖ Write off of liabilities: Only direct liability to the tune of `4.00 lakhs for officers and `3.00 lakhs

❖ Additional Gratuity: Difference between the normal gratuity and the gratuity that would have
otherwise become payable to the deceased employee had he survived till superannuation is

❖ Free Education to the children of the deceased employee:


• First two children are eligible
