TIME PRESENTATION OF LESSON
Introduction:
Hello everyone, today we will be going over the Human Body System.
Does anyone know what that is?
Explain to the class about the Human Body System.,
APPLICATION/ACTIVITIES
Read About it! – nonfiction reading reading passages about organs, passage
describing ways system work together. (Translate into Ojibwe and English)
Write About it! – life size organ outlines on which kids record important simple
sentences or words information from their reading.
Put A Flap on it! – life-size organ “flaps” that kids color, cut and attach to their
organ-shaped writing.
Build it! – assembling the human body model (using the body outlines)
To create a life-size human body model your kids will trace their own bodies onto
bulletin board paper.
For Jacob he will have a smaller version made to accommodate for his wheelchair
so he can still participate utilizing a desk and the supplies.
Next they would color, cut and glue the organs onto the body outline and record
the names for the organs.
SUMMARIZATION/CONCLUSION OF LESSON:
Final Mini Quiz:
Ask names of Organs and Body Parts
Have the class quiz each other and supervise.
