Missionary Catechists of St.

Therese of the Infant Jesus (MCST)

The Missionary Catechists of St. Therese of the Infant Jesus (MCST) was the fruit of the
pastoral zeal of Bishop Alfredo Ma. Bolivar, the first Bishop of Lucena, with religious
instruction and the training of catechists foremost in mind. The MCST was founded on
August 12, 1958 and received final approval of its Constitution on November 1, 1987.

Formation in the MCST proceeds by stages and extends over a period of time; the
candidate is led in a progressive manner to the ultimate goal of the religious life, the total
consecration of oneself to Christ.
