What is kakak Asuh:

Community of kakak asuh is a group of students who have a social spirit and are
engaged to help in building talents and interests of children in Indonesia. The community of
kakak asuh with diverse talents and interests will provide assistance and guidance to the
children in Indonesia through teaching, guiding, facilitating and helping children to improve their
academic and non-academic abilities so that the children will be able to grow into personal
individuals, good character, talented and moral. Activities to be carried out using good methods,
fun and close like a brother with his sister. So that children do not feel burdened and happy in
carrying out educational activities that are good for their development. Besides that, it also
educate children around in any field according to their interests, providing appropriate teaching
facilities, and ensuring expectations for better growth and development.

Benefits from it:

-It helps to improve one’s social skills. When they are educated, they are able to fit in various
social groups as they will be better able to communicate with other people.
-It contributes towards the development of a better society. When there are a lot of educated
people in the society, people are better able to coexist and understand each other.
-It  creates awareness and expands their vision. Children  become more aware about
themselves, about the society, about everything that surrounds and affect their life.
-It helps to develop a disciplined life. And, discipline is essential for everything that a person
wants to achieve in life.

Conlusion:
Education plays a significant role in achieving a good quality of life. It is because
education is importance guidance in human’s life. It can be regarded as important medium in
changing the paradigm shift in one’s individual. Generally, education is always associated with
the process of delivering skill, disseminating Aknowledge and internalizing value. Practically,
individual who equipped with knowledge can be able to internalize and apply the knowledge in
every day’s life. In children’s context, education can be seen as continuing process of their
development, so that they can practice and apply their knowledge as preparation in the future.
Thus, education is major aspect of development of any modern society since if there is a deficit
of educated people then society will stops its further progress.
