Subject: Submission of Research article entitled “Development of topical film forming

spray for advance wound healing” to Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy
Journal.

Dear Sir/madam,
I am pleased to submit a research article entitled “Development of topical film forming spray
for advance wound healing” by Dattatray Doifode and my name consideration for publication
in Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy Journal.
In this research we described the topical film forming spray with combination of Simvastatin
and Mupirocin was prepared using Eudragit E100, PEG-400 and Glycerol as film forming
polymer, plasticiser and humectant-plasticiser respectively. Formulation was optimized using
Central composite design. Optimised formulation showed burst release of both the drugs
within 2 hrs with desirable antimicrobial efficacy against S.aureus and E.coli in comparison
with commercially available Mupirocin ointment. Formulation also showed comparative
wound healing activity.

We believe that this manuscript is appropriate for publication by the Drug Development and
Industrial Pharmacy Journal because our manuscript will be supportive for future studies on
the advance wound healing treatments.
This manuscript has not been published and is not under consideration for publication
