channels.

As business-to-business marketing channels become more international in scope, communication


in channels occurs among a more diverse set of channel participants from different national cultures. Do
such cultural variations influence channel communications and if so, how? This study examines these
questions in international business-to-business marketing channels comprised of channel members
representing different cultural contexts. The findings show that there is a relationship between culture and
channel communication in international channels. This influence stemming from “cultural distance” may
have significant implications as business moves into the E-commerce era of Internet-based B2B
international channels of distribution.

Insight:
Unity in diversity is a must. Communication is inevitable in which it is indispensable in our day-
to-day. Specifically, in business world, where communication is the key to comprehend difficulty to
which you need to participate and communicate from various and different kinds of cultures.
Communication is a need through negotiating business firm
The Impact of Communication on Workers’ Performance in
Selected Organizations in Lagos State, Nigeria (Department of
Sociology, Landmark University, Nigeria)

In today’s world, communication is an important component of organization activity. Because the


global world has become widespread, most organizations need to meet their needs with a lower resource
moral through communication. This study examines the significant relationship between communication
and workers’ performance in some selected organizations in Lagos State, Nigeria. Data for the study were
collected through questionnaire with sample population of 120 respondents. The result of this study
reveals that a relationship exists between effective communication and workers’ performance,
productivity and commitment. The study recommended that managers will need to communicate with
employees regularly to improve worker’s commitment and performance.

Insight:
Understanding communication patterns gives a leader more information about their employees,
and often information they would have otherwise overlooked. This powerful insight lets the leader make
more strategic decisions on delegation, employee development, team development, and strategic
initiatives to drive business success. The bottom line is that good communication isn’t just about being
able to more accurately and concisely present information and ideas. It’s also not just about mitigating
conflict or creating a more positive team environment. Communication is client relationships, team
development, employee engagement, and innovative thought.
Gender communication: A comparative analysis of
communicational approaches of men and women at workplaces.

Globalization has resulted in multi-cultural and diverse workforces across the globe. Diversity in
a workplace increases adaptability amongst employees; different talents of various individuals have
become great resources, which also result in a pool of unique contributions. As a diverse genders and
culture comes together, it provides a spectrum of viewpoints to meet objectives and accomplish goals.
Thus diverse work force is an environment where people accept differences rather than deny them. If we
pay attention to gender differences, we just might untangle the gender communications knots and get the
job done faster and make working environment hassle free. Successful organizations need to create
effective communication within a diverse workforce. In order to do so, it is necessary to focus on the
gender differences in communication patterns. Overlooking the differences between the two gender roles
can cause confusion and biases thus consequently having a negative impact on the overall organizational
performance. However, gender issues arising from misunderstanding could be reduced within the
organization by establishing equilibrium between men and women. The only way to have a healthy
working atmosphere within an organization is to identify the differences and find ways to bridge the
communication gulf between the sexes. Through two quizzes an attempt has been made in this work to
explore different approaches followed by male and female associates to communicate in an organization.

Insight:
A workplace that communicates more effectively establishes a “safe” place for people to think
creatively and express their ideas. It helps employees feel more comfortable taking ownership for
challenges and projects, and typically results in more creative brainstorming or problem-solving
initiatives. In a company culture focused on connecting with others, managers better understand the
talents, skills and of their workforce. Some communication patterns aren’t forthcoming with their talents
and skills, or express them in ways a fast-paced or high-level-thinking communicator won’t naturally
notice

Human communication is difficult to define because it depends on experiences of individuals and many
factors. There are five senses in human communication which are sense of sight, touch, smell, hearing,
and taste but human communication in advertising is created by the ability of the introducer and the
layout designer which pervades the human condition. It is everywhere in any kinds of human activities.

Insight:
Successful communication in advertisement involves focusing on a certain audience with
information that meet the group's need. In verbal and non-verbal communication are attached in
advertisement, in the various media communication like television, radio or any kinds of media platforms
and many other possibilities to product in public, so verbal language is concerned with words. Non-verbal
language message can be a type of or receive through any sensory channel like, visual perception,
posture, facial expression, sound, taste and etc.
Effective Organizational Communication: A Key to Employee
Motivation and Performance

Organizational Communication, in today’s organizations has not only become far more complex
and varied but has become an important factor for overall organizational functioning and success. The
way the organization communicates with its employees is reflected in morale, motivation and
performance of the employees. The objective of the present paper is to explore the interrelationship
between communication and motivation and its overall impact on employee performance. The paper
focuses on the fact that communication in the workplace can take many forms and has a lasting effect on
employee motivation. If employees feel that communication from management is effective, it can lead to
feelings of job satisfaction, commitment to the organization and increased trust in the workplace. This
study was conducted through a comprehensive review and critical analysis of the research and literature
focused upon the objectives of the paper. It also enumerates the results of a study of organizational
communication and motivational practices followed at a large manufacturing company, Vanaz Engineers
Ltd., based at Pune, to support the hypothesis propounded in the paper.

Insight:
We all know that business all over the world today is very challenging. To stay profitable in the
highly challenging and competitive global market economy. Employee management demand skillful
handling of thoughts, feelings and emotion to secure highest productivity. Communication productivity
plays an important role in this challenge. Manager traditionally spent the majority of their time
communicating in one to another. And if employee feel that communication from the management is
effective, it can lead to feeling of job satisfaction also it can boast confidence of individual and build
trust.
