Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

1. Why do we need this grant?


• The IDEA is a law that makes available a free appropriate public education to elligible
children with disabilities throughout the nation and ensures special education and related
services to those children.
• The IDEA governs how states and public agencies provide early intervention, special
education, and related services to more than 6.5 million eligible infants, toddlers, children,
and youth with disabilities.

2. What type of funding is it?


• IDEA issues Formula grants and Discretionary grants. Formula grants support special
education and related services and early intervention services. Discretionary grants state
educational agencies, institutions of higher education, and other nonprofit organizations to
support research, demonstrations, technical assistance and dissemination, technology
development, personnel preparation and development, and parent-training and -information
centers.

3. What grade level is the grant geared toward?


• Any infants, toddlers, children, and youth with disabilities.

4. What are the requirements to receive the grant?


• To receive IDEA grant funds, you must submit an annual Comprehensive Plan for Special
Education and Related Services to serve as all elligible students with disabilities ages 3 to 21.

1. Why do you need this grant? What help will it be?


• The primary goals of this foundation is to globally enhance healthcare and help reduce
poverty and to expand educational opportunities and access to information technology.

2. What type of funding is it?


• The foundation maintains an online database of grants on its website which includes for each
grant the name of the grantee organization, the purpose of the grant and the amount.

3. What grade level is the grant geared toward?


• This grant is not grade level specific.

4. What are the requirements to receive the grant?


• Most requirements are geared towards locations that are developing and financially
struggling in 138 countries. Most of these countries are third-world countries.

• Target’s philanthropic efforts are rooted in the company’s purpose of helping all
families discover the joy of everyday life and our values of optimism, inclusivity and
connection. Community has been, and will continue to be, our focus.

2. What type of funding is it?


• Local community grants and philanthropic grants.

3. What grade level is the grant geared toward?


• No specific grade level but the grant is geared towards helping those in disaster relief,
military & veteran support, hunger relief, and St. Jude's Research Hospital.

4. What are the requirements to receive the grant?


• You can receive the grant by doing volunteer work with your school through your local
community and through corporate giving.

1. Why do you need this grant? What help will it be?
• This organization provides funding for school supplies to classrooms and families in need. It
also helps teachers because most teachers use their own money out of pocket to purchase
school supplies for their classroom. With this grant, teachers do not have to pay out of
pocket.

2. What type of funding is it?


• Nonprofit funding, Cause-marketing campaigns, Spotlight Funds and Surprise Adoption
Events.

3. What grade level is the grant geared toward?


• The grant is not geared towards a specific grade level but most schools that receive this grant
are elementary and middle school classrooms.

4. What are the requirements to receive the grant?


• Register and create a fundraising page for your classroom. Then, share your page or
participate in funding opportunities. Next, you will receive an email when you get a
donation. You shop for the items that you want and the donors receive a list of items that you
requested.
