Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA): It is a measure of overall cumulative performance of a student in the
Programme. The CGPA is the ratio of total credit points secured by a student in various modules during the programme. It
is expressed up to two decimal places.

2. Grading

Grade Point: It is a numerical weight allotted to each letter grade on a 10-point scale.
Grade: It is an index of the performance of students in the programme. Grades are denoted by letters A+, A, B+, B, C, P and
F.
The 10-point grading system with the following letter grades is given below:

Grade P (Pass) F (Fail)

3. Rules for Qualifications

You need to score at least 5.3 CGPA to pass the programme

It is also mandatory to score at least 5 Grade point in every module, if the student fails to score 5 grade points, he/she will
have to re-appear for the module.

4. Computation of CGPA

The procedure to compute the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA):

The CGPA is the ratio of sum of the product of the number of credits with the grade points scored by a student in all the
modules and the sum of the number of credits of all the modules, i.e.
CGPA = ∑ (Ci x Gi) / ∑Ci
Where Ci is the number of credits of the ith module and Gi is the grade point scored by the student in the ith module.

5. Converting CGPA to Percentage

For converting CGPA to the percentage you have to multiply CGPA with 9.5 which will help you to get the percentage.
