Aoe Gather Rates
Since I couldn't find one anywhere on the internet, I've decided to make my own. Here are the actual
civilisation bonuses and working rates as well as some other errata. Hopefully you'll be able to validate
whatever myths regarding you may have. For insance: did you know that Palmyra can use two villagers
on one farm?
Enjoy!
Villagers
Speed: 1.10
Assyria & Yamato 1.1->1.3 villager speed. They are +18.18%. not +30%
Wheel +0.7
Jihad +0.3
As you can see, it's completely broken and all over the place. Not based on percentages. It's 2.3 with all
the upgrades (For reference 1.2 - clubman, 2 - cavalry, 2.2 - horse archer, 2.5 - HHA)
Working rates
[123 woodcutter]
Default: 0.55
[118 builder]
Default: 1.00
[156 repairman]
Default: 0.40
[119 fisherman]
Default: 0.60
[120 forager]
Default: 0.45
[122 hunter]
Default: 0.45
[50 - farm]
Default: 0.40
[259 farmer]
Default: 0.45 - irrelevant. The farmer works faster than the farm. This is why using multiple farmers
does nothing
Babylon
+44.44% stone mining 0.45(+0.20)->0.65 [not +30%]
+37.50% priest recharging rate 2.00(+0.75)->2.75 [not +30%]
Choson
-32% priest cost (125->85), but this is trivial
Egypt
+44.44% gold mining 0.45(+0.20)->0.65 [not +20%]
Greece
+33.33% academy units speed 0.9(+0.3)->1.2 [not +30%]
+17.14% warship speed 1.75(+0.30)->2.05 [not +30%]
Hittite
all correct!
Persia
+66.67% hunting 0.45(+0.30)->0.75 [not +30%]
+55,56% elephant speed 0.9+(0.5)->1.4 [not +50%]
+38.46% trireme fire rate (reload 1.8->reload 1.3) [not +30%]
Phoenicia
+36.36% woodcutting 0.55(+0.20)->0.75 this is apparently hard coded, and therefore glitched. The
developers claim it to be +15%
+72,41% siege ship fire rate (reload 5.0->2.9 reload) [not +65%]
Shang
all correct!
Sumer
+42,86% catapult fire rate (reload 5->reload 3.5) [not +50%]
Yamato
+18.18% villager speed 1.1(+0.2)->1.3 [not +30%]. Because of addition, the percentages change with
the wheel and jihad and end up a complete mess
Carthage
+25% light transport speed 1.40(+0.35)->1.75 [not +30%]
+42.86% heavy transport speed 1.75(+0.75)->2.50 [not +30%]
Macedonia
Everything seems correct. Conversion is impossible to decode, and I won't bother testing with a
stopwatch. It can't be changed anyway
Palmyra
[The following are working rates, not carriage amount]
+36.36% woodcutter 0.55(+0.20)->0.75 [not +25%]
+44.44% forager 0.45(+0.20)->0.65 [not +25%]
+33.33% fisherman 0.60(+0.20)->0.80 [not +25%]
+44.44% hunter 0.45(+0.20)->0.65 [not +25%]
farmer (0.45) UNCHANGED! [not +25%]
+50% for farm 0.4(+0.2)->0.6 [not +25%] This means palmyran farmers are slower than the farm
itself! You can use two farmers. One farmer will be 12.5% faster than other civs, two will be 50% faster
+44.44% gold miner 0.45(+0.20)->0.65 [not +25%]
+44.44% stone miner 0.45(+0.20)->0.65 [not +25%]
builder 1.00 UNCHANGED! [not +25%]
repairman 0.40 UNCHANGED! [not +25%]
Villagers have 1 melee armour, AND 1 pierce armour
Roman
all correct!
Units
Armoured Elephants get +40 damage vs buildings and towers, +80 vs walls. War elephants do not
