ASSIGNMENT

4. Failure to submit the assignment will not correspond to a grade of IP. The
assignment will just serve as an additional point to some of your requirements.
 ASSIGNMENT
Design a rectangular cross-section having a 20 mm diameter tension steel
only, of such size that excessive deflection would not be expected under
normal circumstances. The 9 meters beam is simply supported and is to
carry the given uniformly distributed dead and live load, 18 kn/m and 38
kn/m respectively, in addition to the weight of the beam. Make all practical
decisions for the size of the cross section and check the strength using
statics.
