ENGINEER'S REPORT

Air Pollution Source

I. Introduction

The Seascape Recreational Beach Resort, located at Brgy. Gumasa, Glan,

Sarangani Province will install a power generator set which serves as a
standby power supply to its facilities. Installing this will prevent the
stoppage of operations cause by power interruption.

One (1) unit 20 kW Stand-by Generator - a single stack stand-by gen set with
a capacity of 20 kW will be used to supply altemate power in case of power
interruption

II. Project Objective

The objective of installing the air pollution control facilities is to protect the air
environment and human health.

III. Air Pollution Source Installation

The only source of air pollution is coming from the emission of the stand-by
power generator sets.

IV. Emission of Air Pollution Source Installation

a. Power Generator Set

The power generator set as powered by diesel are equipped with exhaust
systems that include packaging of catalytic exhaust systems, engineered after
treatment components and system integration services for engine
manufactures. Both power gen set and steam boiler are capable of emitting
cleaner air by removing nitrogen oxides, particulate matter, and carbon
dioxides from diesel engine emissions.

In addition, to maintain its efficiency (burning of diesel), the equipment will be

maintained and operated properly. No emission testing needed for the gen
set because of their capacity categorized as "small source".

V. Status of Air Pollution Installation

a. Power Generator Set

Installed power generator is equipped with controller information and can
carry out functions including automatic start/stop, data measure and
alarms. The control system consists of set mounted panel providing: a) a
means of starting and stopping the generator set, b) monitoring its
operation and output causing the engine to automatically shut down in the
event of a critical condition arising, i.e. low oil pressure. It is also equipped
with an alternator circuit breaker providing a means of switching the
generator output and automatically disconnecting the generator output
and automatically disconnecting the load in the event of overload.

The generator set are capable of emitting cleaner air by removing nitrogen
oxides, particulate matter, hydrocarbons, and carbon monoxide from
diesel engine emissions.

Operation of the stand-by gen set and steam boiler is expected to

consume an average of 10 liters of diesel fuel per month for gen set,
depending on the status of power supply in the area.
