E-COUNSELING RWANDA BUSINESS PLAN.

THE ASK

We hereby invite on purpose who ever wants to be involved in


the emerging industry of online counseling that matches the
health needs of the people of this country and the great lakes
region.

With it’s well-known and countless potentials to provide


effective and equitable health care services, online counseling
and guidance is a special solution to countless challenges
threatening the well being of younger people in the new
millennium.

We are seeking $12k to launch our pilot and deliver a


professional web site. This pilot includes the capabilities of
sales and counselor/customer appointment management
allowing us to start delivering online counseling. During this
stage, these services will be provided to university students,
and other non-student English users with in the country only.
High school students, and non-English users will be served in
the round ahead.

Our next round of investment we would need $65k to fully


launch the organization. This would include marketing costs,
PR, counselor’s trainings and regular supervisions, web
technology upgrades, web pages translation to Kinyarwanda,
and French languages and limited payroll. Your donations are
tax deductible. We will do our best to deliver what you need
and want including commendations for your support and
progress reports. Every contribution is important.
Making auditing viable is our priority. You will be kept
informed as to how your donations are being spent and their
life saving results. We are sure you will have the satisfaction of
having helped countless thousands Rwandans (and Great
Lakes citizens) to live well and better.

The Org:
The organization is E-counseling and guidance Rwanda (EGR).

Problem statement –How do we:

 Use the Internet to reach people who are looking for help
with in the country (and The Great Lakes citizens) and
make their lives better?
 Use the online platform for counseling and guidance to
establish a connection filling the 94% countrywide gap
(and the Region) limiting the access to mental health
facilities?
 Provide the many psychologist, and trained counselor
with an on purpose way to make a living. Helping Fill the
gap of on purpose unemployment among psychologist
within the country?

Solution:

 A recent internet phenomenon called online counseling


that is being used by psychologists and trained
counselors in different regions of the world.
 We intend to target areas with alarming demand for
help such as depression, addictions, relationships,
anxiety, and work/ school difficulties. We will also
continue to broaden the scope of our service to other
areas of help such as Christian counseling, and family
therapy as the organization grows and depending on
the demand.
 we will begin with live chatting and phone counseling
(voice call) and evolve into other technologies like
video calls as the market demands.
 Our goals are to help our population lead better,
healthier, effective and happier lives.

THE MARKET

 The parent company of the leading site betterhelp.com in


this space based in America alone had a market cap of
1.9B (2017) around the globe.
 Investors are hot for this area and in 2015 and 2016 the
recorded investment amounts up to $110millions within
2 years.
 The great lakes regional market is rapidly growing as
many people increase to use Internet and in this space the
local competition is still 0.
 Rwanda in particular, mental health burden is alarming
with depression striking in 12% of the population,
followed by anxiety disorders and PTSD. Only 3.4% reach
the help needed.

on available counseling hours per week.
 Differentiate our selves from our international
competitors by integrating the regional aspects of culture
and the use of local languages to improve counselor/
customer communications.

deliverers and real solution takers other than money-
based interests.
 Learn what works from our competitors and listen to the
