In the unlikely event of disaster, the Enterprise Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

Management (EBCDRM) team will execute the recovery procedures in the following order:

• Move operations to the Disaster Recovery Backup Site and the Emergency Operations

Center.

• Return data processing activities to the primary facilities or another computer facility.

• Restore systems per the criticality ratings.

• Restore critical applications to the most current date available on backup tapes stored

offsite.

• Execute the plan within 1hr of any disaster scenario as mentioned in the activation

criteria.

Activation Criteria

In this section, we will go over the high-level scenarios when to declare a disaster and what

procedures and activities will be executed. Some of the major triggering events include:

• Natural calamities that disrupt business operations for more than 1hr.

• Data breach of customer, financial and insurance data.

• Power outage impacting data center servers.

• Theft, vandalism of company resources, confidential design, business & trade secrets.

Disaster Response Strategies

This section lists out the scenarios and applicable recovery strategies and expectations –

expected response results and as well as what to expect post disaster.
