Nursing

“Every Nurse was drawn to nursing because of a desire to care, to serve, or to help” by Christina

Feist-Heilmeier-RN. I have been learning in school for many years in school about different

healthcare jobs; I am mostly interested in becoming a registered nurse and completing my

life-long goal to become one. There are different kinds of nurses in the healthcare field. In

addition there are about 3 million nurses in the United states. There are nurse practitioners,

travel nurses, etc. I choose to become a Registered Nurse which cares and monitors the patient,

to make sure the patient is feeling a satisfactory state. These nurses have goals everyday when

they are working which is making sure the patients are healthy. Nurses have many essential skills

to assist them to do their duties in the workplace. So what is a registered Nurse and what do they

do? How many years does it take to Nurse? So I will be able to tell you all about how it takes to

become a Nurse. Last but not least in becoming a nurse it takes education, skills, and devotion.

First, what is a Registered Nurse? A Registered Nurse records and monitors any changes

in the symptoms of the patient. Nurses have different types of duties due to the workplace. But

a registered nurse’s only duty is to take care of the patient. Nurses also perform diagnostic tests

for the patients. On the other hand, Registered Nurses salary in Georgia is $58,450 per year.

Additionally, they make thirty-seven dollars per hour. And their monthly salary is $5,745.
Registered Nurses work in hospitals, Clinics, Schools, and many other different places. And not

only in the hospitals. Every nurse has a duty in their labor and each has their own shift

throughout the day. Did you know that Nurses walk 5k every shift! In other words, Registered

Nurses use their skills and time to care for the patients.

Secondly, Registered Nurses have many skills in their work environment. One of the

essential skills is organizational skills; they must be prepared and ready to do their tasks every

single day. Furthermore, each nurse must have responsibility. Nurses have responsibilities they

must take care of in the workforce. Another skill a nurse has is communication skills.

Communication skills are important because you have to communicate with a patient in order to

help them and fix the problem and find a solution. Time management skills are also important.

You must use your time wisely and to do so, have a prepared schedule everyday or find

something that helps you manage your time. But there are some things that can affect your day

that will most likely affect your time. You can either work all night and not have time for any

family or friends. Time is very scarce for a nursing position. Last but not least, without these

important skills, a nurse would not be able to function very well in his/her environment. But

most importantly, you can work on the skills you are having trouble with so you can become the

best nurse there is in the future. Along with lacking the skills you have, community work can

help you the most in the skills that you lack. In other words, Nurses have many skills that help

them throughout their career.

Thirdly, the last step to become a nurse you must have the knowledge and great thinking

to do the duties of a nurse. First you must go through elementary, middle, and highschool.

Finally, you graduate and you have your high school diploma and you have to decide the college
you are going for the path to becoming a Nurse. It is recommended that you get a Bachelor’s

Degree. In addition to this, it takes a total of four years to be licensed to become a registered

nurse. But if you want to get an associate degree. It takes two years to complete. If I want to take

the easier route to become a nurse, I would study for an associate’s degree. On the other hand,

many colleges and universities in the world provide you with nursing programs. But first and

foremost, you must have a high school diploma and good grades in order to continue onto the

next step on becoming a nurse. Additionally, community work can also help you get into the

college of your dreams and assist in the skills you lack in your life. In conclusion, I am going for

a bachelor’s degree to finally become a registered nurse.

Above all, to become a Nurse one must have skills and education. I choose to become a

nurse to serve, care, and help. Nurses have to have essential skills to be able to work like

communication, time management, and responsibility. Nurses must use their time wisely.

Additionally, communicate with one another. And finally, responsibility in lending a helpful

hand around their environment. I choose this career because I want to be able to help and mostly

care for people that get sick and aiding them. It takes four years to become a Nurse. In addition,

after the four years, I want to keep studying to become the best and possible nurse there is.

Caring and aiding is the most important trait for me because it makes me feel good because I

know that I made a difference in the world. But it is going to be difficult sometimes but it will be

all worth it in the end. In addition to diffculty, I personally struggle with communiating. I get

really nervous when I have to talk to someone. But with the skills that I am going to be working

in the present to help me in the future. It will make me the proudest nurse because I have an

essential skill. On the other hand it would bring me joy to see smiles on the patients face
knowing that I did a substantial job. Nurses are special because the amount of work and skills

they put in help make a big difference in the world. In conclusion, to become a nurse; it takes

skills and education.
