1- BACKGROUND

This manual aims to instruct the installers, supervisors and technicians, as the installation and adjustment procedures of
GEARLESS elevators, emphasizing differences in electrical, mechanical and adjustment existing between the lifts with gear and
GEARLESS machine.

2- FRAME CONTROL FEATURE

The control panel for GEARLESS elevators includes the same features with elevator machine in gear, but with better
performance and safety control.

3. DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ELECTRICAL AND FDG FDG GEARLESS OR FDN

Due to the control in elevators with machine with direct drive, the frame command Gearless features some differences in
electrical, such as:

Parameters of 3.1- 4 MCINV

The elevator has GEARLESS more parameters to be adjusted in relation to the elevator with machine gear, where:

Set menu: Synchronous rpm, Off Set Cell, Field Current, Gain Cell, rotor Constant, Iqsmax Cell, Plate frequency, number
of encoder pulses.
Vel menu: Tp Accel 5v, 5v Rpm Max.

3.2- 7-MCP parameters

For elevators with FDG and FDG GEARLESS gear must be set in the 7-MCP, the encoder resolution and rotation
parameters x Maximum Speed (rpm), see section 10.3.

3.3 - Load Cell

Once the system Gearless traction sheave is coupled directly to the motor shaft, the system must be able to evaluate cabin
load to determine the required torque at the time of departure. Therefore all elevators with gearless machine must use the
excess load device, whether the same or may not have this option.

Amplifier Module load cell (MACC) receives and amplifies the signal from the load cell, transforming it into two equal current
outputs which are S1 and S2. The exit S1 together with
T100 They are sent to Module Cab Load Indicator. The exit S2 together with T100,
They are sent to the MCINV via shielded cable, which operates in the elevator control (determining the required starting torque).

For Elevating single shot They are used two load cells, one at the top crosspiece, which weighs the cab more
compensation, and the other on the lower beam, which weighs compensation, therefore, the MC-INV module and the charge
indicator module perform the weight difference between the top cell and the bottom finding the weight of the car, thus, signals S2 each
amplifier (top and bottom) should reach its MCINV with reference T100, being connected to their corresponding terminals, ie the
signal S2 the upper cell in terminal 6 ( S2-s)

MCINV in the K8 and the lower sign to the cell terminal 7 ( S2-i) K8 of the T100 lines are attached and connected to the terminal 8 of the K8,
according to the following diagram:

link

For cases of single shots or single shots w /

compensating cable

For elevators with double shot It is only used an installed load cell at the machine base, due to the system which is offset,
where the cell detects directly the weight variation in the cab. Thus, the signal S2 is derived from the cell to the amplifier MCINV
(point S2-s) in the command frame, and the signal S1 the cell is derived from the amplifier to the load indicator cabin via patch
cord, these signals having a voltage range between 3.9 VDC depending 1,2VCC the load in the cab.

3.4- Protection motor windings PTC

In national gearless machines (GLM GLM 20 and 39 II) and are imported PTC's used to protect the traction motor windings
against overheating. PTC is a thermal sensor that operates by elevating the temperature in the motor windings, connection is
made directly on the module MCINV 4-pins 51 (CPT1) and 52 (PTC2) in K14 connector as following diagram:

Obs .: In the event of actuation of the motors PTC gearless machines of the MC-4 INV F7 display will indicate the error code
when starting the lift, both when in automatic maintenance.

3.5- Encoder
For GEARLESS lifts with French machines (Leroy Sommer) and with national (GLM GLM 39 II and 20) are used encoder
with 5000 pulses code X08.057.007 brands Euchner or Hengstler.

The German machines Thyssen Aufzugswerke may contain encoder with 5000, 16384 and 28800 pulses. This may be
indicated within the Menu setting, at the Sub-menu "Encoder Pulses."

In German machines Thyssen Aufzugswerke DAB 450 and DAB 530 have external rotor motor precluding the use of
conventional encoder are adapted so MiniCoder and Electronic interpolator.

The MiniCoder has a toothed disc attached to the rotor and magnetic sensors, which move with the elevator generate
signals according to the drawing below. The machine 450 DAB toothed disc has teeth 800 generating 800 pulses per revolution,
in DAB 530 toothed drive machine has 900 teeth, generating 900 pulses per revolution.

MiniCoder (GEL 244)

The interpolator converts the sine signal MiniCoder to the waveform of the conventional encoder, and multiplies the number
of pulses according to the DIP switch setting.

4. DIFFERENCES LIFT MECHANICAL GEARLESS

Due to high speed control in elevators with machine with direct drive, it presents some differences in the mechanical part
such to:

4.1- counterweight with safety device

The security device in balance is used as stipulated in the standard, namely:
- In elevators of any speed, when there living area below the well, or when not inhabited that serve the movement of
persons.
- It is used whenever the elevator speed is equal to or greater than 180 m / min. Details of adjustment of
balance of slides, see IEF 653 index 4.

4.2- the car and counterweight slides with six (6) rolls
For better performance in high speed elevators above 210m / min, slides are used to six (6) rollers. The action of the moving
beams, side arm and facial arm, compensate for irregularities that may cause discomfort in the cabin.

installation details, adjustment and replacement parts, consult IEF 690 manual.

4.3- Gearless Machine

In gearless elevators, machines utilize low speed motors, in which case the sheave is directly coupled to the motor shaft.
The engine torque can be kept constant through the use of a vector control system (MC-INV).

Types of machines Gearless

Leroy Somer (French) - Model X5, X8, X13A, X20, X30 and X36.
ThyssenKrupp Aufzugswerke (German) - DAF Model 330/380 and 450/530 DAB.
ThyssenKrupp (Brazil) - GLM 39 II (and 15kw 11kw) and GLM 20 - Eberle.
These machines are constituted with brake traction drive through two independent coils and contact BK coupled to each
shoe. BK contacts must be connected in parallel and the coils are connected in series.

For details regarding the consul machines tar IEF 835 manual.

4.4- Brake of Gearless Machine

To brake the Gearless drive machine are used two coils connected in series
and an RCD filter connected in parallel with both, as shown in the following drawing.

Obs.: For machines of brake connection German DAB 450 and 530 should not be used B4 contactor auxiliary contacts that
are in series with the brake coil, so it is not necessary to use RCD filter as following drawing.

Check for the diode D1, which enables the jumper setting
by the
200vcc output voltage.

plate code with LED - 3Y.0591.SF.2

4.5- Details of links of BK contacts

For each brake coil of GEARLESS machine is used a contact BK therefore must use two BK contacts. These contacts are
connected in parallel as shown in the following drawings.

The German machines you must use the IBKG module, for connecting the same.

5 GROUND CONTROL FRAMEWORK AND TRACTION MACHINE

• Only connect the control panel, if the three-phase mains (R, S, T) and the Ground PE cable (earth) are sized according
to the Electrical Specification Sheet executive project.

• According to NBR 5419 (electrostatic discharge - lightning) the grounding resistance value should be around 10 ohms
order, even more important than endurance, is a perfect equipotential all grounding points in the substation, ie wires
grounding of each elevator in the same building must be interconnected at a single site, to avoid potential differences.
questions give Ground Manual IEF 802.

• It is recommended for safety, the building lightning rod installed;

51- Measuring in Ground Systems

For grounding measurement using the Clamp Meter or Digital Loop Earth. The meter similar to a clamp ammeter should
encircle the cable interconnecting the ground struts, being positioned in the ohmic range.

CHART CONNECTION Clamp RESISTANCE RANGE

• Equipment using shields or shielded cables require grounding to establish a zero potential on the shield and also to
provide an external way to interfering currents (electromagnetic noise). The shielded cable used for connecting the
motor must have its shielding connected to ground point on the control panel, the other end of the shield must be
connected to ground screw motor according CTC 09/2003.

• The cable PE (protective earth) must have the potential even if the N cable (Neutral substation), ie the PE cable from
the engine room (ground) and neutral N cable from the substation must be connected at the same point grounding in
the substation, but should rise independently to the engine room.

10.3- SELF-TUNING

In this step, with the checks and tests performed in the mechanical and electrical systems will be well performed mapping
through self-adjustment.
In the process of self-adjusting the elevator makes an upward journey in one level, going through all the floors, for recognition
(mapping) of the race box.
To complete the self-tuning is necessary to adjust the temporary lift in 1 level. Because the self-adjustment process will only be
completed when the elevator from the 1st floor, reducing and stopping in the Flushing area on the top floor.

In the elevators OBS .: FDG should check eters para-7 MCP module, as described below:

For elevators with speeds equal to or greater than 120 m / min, before performing the auto-adjustment should be set in
MCP-7, the rotation parameters (rpm) and encoder resolution in MCP-7 for this proceed as follows:

1. Connect the MCP-TLS 7;

2. From the "Maint / Config" put the elevator in maintenance;
3. Also in the Maint / Config menu, within the sub-menu "Changeable parameters", the sub-access "machine Cfg" menu set
the parameter "Resolutions Encoder" with a value equal to the pulse number of the encoder used in the engine, and
parameter "TRIG REV max XV in" RPM specified in the traction motor characteristic plate.

Perform the adjustment of the parameters of module MGR, con IEF 838 form.

10.3.1- interim adjustment on 1 level.

With the initial parameters set previously in module MCINV 4 and MGR, and MCP-7 modules . When FDG, to carry out the
provisional adjustment for level 1, proceed as follows:

OBS .: To perform auto-tuning FDG elevators, it is necessary to use two modules

TLS in a connected module MGR and another module in the M CP-7

• in module MCP-7 access the "Maintenance menu" and put the elevator in AUTO-FIT, check if it reduces and the leveling
zone, opening door.
• If the lift can not reach the leveling zone, connect one of the TLS module
MCINV 4 and adjust the value of "rpm max 1vel" in the "Vel menu." to stop the leveling zone. Redo autotuning again
repeating the first level adjustment procedure. Until the elevator stops at the capping zone, opening the door.

OBS .: It is as "leveling zone" when the electronic key 2IR3 lies

within the stop plate and the point P23 is at 0 v OLT.
• During the process of SELF-TUNING in FDG elevators, one should constantly monitor the TLS module module MGR, because
when the auto-tuning is complete indication to appear briefly "AUTO-ADJUST OK" just so the process is complete.

10.4- FINAL SET

With AUTO-FIT completed and the points defined reductions, definitely set the parameters required for the operation of the lift at
high speed, as follows:

SET STOP COMFORT

1. At maximum speed, the provisionally set value "tp curv", so that the elevator stops at the capping region (door open).

2. Adjust definitely the value of "L position" so that the cab stop zero leveling both up as down. If the car is stopped
negative, increase the value of "LA position." If the car is stopped positive, decrease the value of "LA position."

3. Even at maximum speed definitely set the value "tp curv", so that the elevator move at between 10 to 30mm leveling
speed before stopping.

11. STATE "INI" (initialization)

The elevator will enter in the "Ini" (Boot) in the following situations:
• to be connected or leave the state "Maint" and detects that the cabin is not on the 1st and last floor;

• after a fault occurs that makes you lose your position reference (eg., a latch failure during movement, which
would cause an abrupt stop getting uneven cabin).

Upon entering the state "Ini", the lift will move down in order to find the 1v limit sign. This signal, which (in most
elevators) is located 1.20 m above the leveling plate of the 1st floor, is confirmation position. Found this sign, follow
the elevator down to the leveling plate of the 1st floor, where you will stop and close the "Ini" state.

The state "Int" drive consists of a two-stage (two stages):

• Phase 1:
O Down at low speed until you find a leveling plate whatsoever.
O Open door or not, as the factory setting. This configuration can be
verified with the TLS in the MCP, the MAINT / CONFIG screen - PARAM FIXED - CFG STATES -
STARTUP:

Step 1: open the Phase 1: Do not open

the door or even
door to even

• Level 2:
O Falls for high (1V) to find the leveling plate of the 1st floor (this
step does not exist if, in phase 1, the leveling plate found already the 1st floor).

O Opens door.
O End of "Ini" state.

11.1. Adjust the leveling time for Phase 1 of the state "Ini"

This is the time that the elevator walk at a low speed, in the leveling plate until it stops, in Step 1 state "Int". Setting
this parameter is essential for the elevator in this situation properly stop level without step. Therefore, it should
always be adjusted in the elevator installation, before handing it to the customer, and should also always be given to
replace is a MCP or MCC on the field.

Used TLS MCC precisely to facilitate adjustment by the technician, because, in doing so from inside the cabin,
it can see if it is leveling properly.

How TLS in the MCC, do the following:

1) Put the elevator in "Maint" and move the cabin positioning it just above a leveling plate.

Obs .: this can be done on any deck, if the lift is configured to, in Phase 1, "open door level." However, if it is
configured to, in Phase
1, "did not open the door even" make this no1º floor procedure.

2) Take it "Maint." With this, it will perform the Phase 1 state "Ini".

3) When opening the door, if you notice that the cabin is not level, go to the MAINT / CONFIG menu -
PARAMETERS changeable - CFG STATES - START and adjust the value more or less:

Evening time

"Cs" means "hundredths of seconds". The default value is
10.

4) Repeat the above steps to get a great leveling.
