    Human Resource Problems

    Banking Industry has been facing Human Resource problems whether it be employee
    retention or low efficiency of human resource.
    Causes of Human Resource problems-
     Award staff (clerical and subordinate) Cadre- Unaccountable & Protected under
    Industrial Disputes Act thus Making them Lethargic.

     Officer Cadre- If Anything goes wrong they are accountable, always under threat of
    vigilance action. During the year 2016, 1,027 bank officers were punished- CVC. A
    workforce in a state of fear cannot be motivated to perform.

    The problem is more prevalent in PSB as Private banks are poaching talent from PSB.
