Pengaruh Beban Lalu Lintas Terhadap Kerusakan Pada Jalan Raya Ngawi-Caruban
Abstract:
Roads are one of the supporting land transportation for the distribution of goods and
services in meeting the economic needs of society. Ngawi-caruban highway is one of
the national road which is always passed by vehicles from one city to another city and
from one province to another province. As one of the national road the need for good
road conditions so the vehicle can through smoothly. Ngawi-Caruban is located
between Ngawi and Madiun that have a length of about 25 km. As a national road,
highway-Caruban Ngawi always experience road pavement damage caused by
vehicular traffic. Therefore there is need for research on how much influence between
the traffic load and the damaged road. Stages of research include the calculation of
traffic growth (LHR) in 2005 to 2010, survey the number of cargo vehicles that exceed
the capacity of the vehicle based on data Widodaren bridges, pavement condition
assessment using PCI (Pavement Condition Index) .From the results showed that the
growth in traffic from 2005 to 2010 is 3.9.% (from Ngawi to Caruban) and 3.6% (from
Caruban to Ngawi). Number of vehicles overloaded by an average of 33.52% per
month. Excess charge per vehicle on average by 5% to 30% by weight of the excess
charge per vehicle and a maximum of more than 90% of the weight of cargo per
vehicle. PCI method of calculation is obtained by the condition of the road damage
Fair. This study proves that the traffic load is very influential on the damaged road. And
heavy cargo vehicles causing excessive load axis of the axle of each axis of the vehicle
