AGENTS OF CHANGE

“Teachers, I believe, are the most responsible and important members of

society because their professional efforts, affect the fate of the earth.”-- Helen
Caldicott

Living can de delineated as one of the three. A jaunt, a struggle, and a

competition. The jaunt of growing up and finding your true purpose in this world, the
struggle of how to continue fighting despite of all the challenges. And the competi
tion towards the top. Everything for the sake of leaving a mark, a legacy that you
were alive.

“Laban lang ng laban” that is the most memorable line that Ma’am Necy has
imparted to her students. Always making sure that they payed their full attention
when classes forego. Replenishing their spirit even after a tiring day. But other than
the knowledge and learning that they gained from her. Her supportive and
unyeilding character, that pushed her students to do better than what they had
expected of themselves, was also one of her power. She serves as an inspiration. As
an agent of change. And as a guide. Significant events like this, etched in our minds
makes us wonder. Who is Ma’am Necy?

Necitas M. Ordillo took her first step at the commencement of the DepEd
service 30 years ago. Asking to herself the questions. “Will my jaunt go as good as I
imagine it to be?” “Will I be able to beat all the trials that will come my way?” “Will I
achive the apical and reach my destination?”

And now ,she have given her answer to the questions that begged for
commendable response. Her 30 years of a bountiful journey that flourished her to
be the outstanding woman she is today. Truimphantly and gloriously finished the
joust between the twist of fate, concluding a winner soul.

She started at june 13, 1989. Only with the goal of teaching everything she
cognize to her students. But what she did not know is that, that was also the start of
a meaningful journey. As a teacher , she proved her worth by being the school paper
adviser of the segovian newspaper, for 17 years. Achieved to rise as a teacher III at
year 2007. And was the SPA coordinator for 3 years.Trained her students to the
extent of their limits. Thus resulting to them joining the National Festival of talents
and without a doubt, their hardworks was rewarded as they won second placer in
the singing aggregation and 5th placer in dancing.

Thoughtful, humble, caring, and affectionate. Those are just, few of the words
that can describe Ma’am Socorro Austriaco. Another exemplary teacher of LNHS. The
mother of grade 9. The ranger of courage and perssuassion. A benevolent and
bemused divinity.

Her greatest accomplishment as an agent of change was not winning any

contest nor ministering whatever high level contention involvement. But having
many scholars. Supporting them with financial assistance from high-school to
college. Without wanting anything in return ,but their sucess in building a name of
their own.

Her gentle actions towards her comrades has touch their hearts making it
inevitable for them to forget her. Titled as “One of the best Filipino Teachers” Ma’am
Ying has truly become one of the firm symbol of education.

Moreover, their laudable passion, commitment and love for their school marks
a milestone of excellence for Lal-lo, National , High-school as a peak performing
school in region 2, and a highly acclaimed performer in the National Festival of
talents also an oustanding achiever in different schools press conference.

Ma’am Necy and Ma’am Ying may not be working with us anymore, but they
have left a priceless legacy in the hearts of all. The warriors of light, for they has
shown us the bliss of growth and splendour beauty.

Leaving a final message of ----” The greatest payment of our hardwork as a

teacher, is seeing our students be successful.”
