DIRECTIONS FOR THE ESSAY:

Write an essay using the tenses checked in class during the first partial
and previous courses but focus in the main topic of this term PAST
SIMPLE (DID) & TOBE IN PAST (WAS – WERE)

It is important to use the vocabulary taught in the first partial about


“CULTURES” and all that represents each one as languages, outfits,
food, traditions, etc.

The essay has to contain from 600 to 1000 words using this
structure:

- TITTLE:
The tittle has to call the reader’s attention
- INTRODUCTION:
This largely depends on what question you are given and what topic
you are developing; clearly state you will be discussing/ your argument
so that this can be clarified throughout your answer.
- MAIN BODY:
Ensure that you have a clear, logical structure. Use evidences, books,
articles you have read and mention them all in APA format. Make sure
you try and use a range of verbs forms, grammar connectives, relevant
vocabulary and clear ideas.
- CONCLUSION:
Reiterate your points and summarize the important point made in the
essay.

Remember: all the elicited info has to be dated using quotations, the
author’s names, published year and articles or books’ names. Using
ARIAL 9 and 1.5 paragraph spacing.
