PROCESSIONAL:

The first Communicants with the celebrant will go inside the church in solemn procession.

INTRODUCTION:

Allen Andrei R. Bergado: Dear Parents, Teachers and Friends let us all rejoice
for today we are ready to have our First Communion. During the
Holy mass we will be permitted to receive Jesus, the Living Bread in our
hearts. Thank you for allowing us to have new life through Baptism, for
joining the Parent’s recollection, and for accompanying us every Sunday
Mass. Thank you dear parents for helping us prepare for this special day in
our lives.

Mrs. Pinky K. Olinan: Dear Children, when you were born, we were
grateful to God for the gift of life. But God in His life gave you more - a
share in His own life and love through baptism. Today, Jesus shows you
even greater grace. He comes to feed you with His own Body and Blood.
Indeed, we are happy to celebrate it with you beginning today, your First
Communion.

Mr. Ceiloue Paglinawan: Dear Children, you are about to make an important
step in your life. As you step forward, the Blessed Virgin Mary, the
Mother of Jesus and also our Mother in grace, a natural way to Christ, is
with you especially that this month is also the month of our Lady of the
Rosary. Like us, our Mother in heaven is most happy that today you will
receive Jesus in the Eucharist. Together with the whole Christian assembly,
you will join us in thanking God for His care and love for all of us.

Belle Angela E. Cambarijan: He gives us His Son, Jesus who comes to us in

Holy Communion. He wants us to live as Jesus did loving God and loving
our neighbor.

Ms. Mary Jade D. Peñafiel:Now dear children, let us celebrate the Mass together. It is
through the Mass that God shows us that He will care for us always,
because He sent Jesus to share His very own life with us.

Xeia Yalentin Castro: Let us all stand for the entrance hymn.

Angels & Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the
Lord our God.

OPENING PRAYER

Priest: Let us pray:

Loving Father, we come together today to celebrate because Jesus has
given himself to us in the Eucharist. As we share in this great meal, help
us to grow in love. We ask you this through Christ our Lord who lives
and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.

All: Amen.

Xeia Yalentin Castro: Let us all be seated and listen to the Word of God.

LITURGY OF THE WORD

First Reading –Alexandrei Mikaela P. Pasamonte

A reading from the First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians (1Cor. 11:23-26)

This is what I received from the Lord, and in turn passed on to you: that
on the same night that he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread,
and thanked God for it and broke it, and he said, ‘This is my body, which
is for you; do this as a memorial of me.’ In the same way he took the cup
after supper, and said, ‘This cup is the new covenant of my blood,
whenever you drink it. Do this in memorial of me.’ Until the Lord comes,
therefore, every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are
proclaiming his death.

The Word of the Lord.

All Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm: Leila Cassandra B. Tugahan

Althea Antoniette N. Guibone

Ref: EVER ON MY LIPS THE PRAISES OF THE LORD

EVER IN MY MOUTH GOD’S MUSIC. THROUGH THE DARK OF
NIGHT IN MORNING’S GOLDEN LIGHT, GOD’S PRAISES I WILL
SING.

1. Taste and see heaven’s bounty, every step and breath we take is a gift

4
that God has made.
2. God alone is my glory, like the moon that lights my way Like a song that
fills my day.
3. Go to God in your loneliness and journey in the silence the Lord is near
to the thirsty heart and close to those who wait.

Xeia Yalentin Castro: Let us all stand to honor the Gospel.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION:

Aleluya! Aleluya! Ikaw Panginoon ang siyang daan, ang buhay, at

ang katotohanan. Aleluya!

Priest: The Lord be with you.

All And with your spirit.

Priest: A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. John (6: 54–56)

All Glory to you, O Lord.

Priest: Jesus said: ‘I am the living bread which has come down from heaven.
Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I shall
live is my flesh, for the life of the world.’ Then the Jews started arguing
with one another: ‘How can this man give us his flesh to eat?’ they said.
Jesus replied: ‘I tell you most solemnly, if you do not eat the flesh of the
Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in you. Anyone
who does eat my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life, and I shall
raise them up on the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is
real drink. Those who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me and
I live in them. As I, who am sent by the living Father, myself draw life
from the Father, so whoever eats me will draw life from me.’
The Gospel of the Lord.

All Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ

Xeia Yalentin Castro: Please be seated.

love you very much. As you grow up, we want you to follow Jesus’
message of love and service.

Priest: My dear children, when you were baptized you were too young to
promise to love and serve God and your neighbor. But on this day, your

parents and your godparents made for you. Do you promise to do your
best to love God and your neighbor always as Jesus wants us to do?

Xeia Yalentin Castro: Parents, please extend your right hand.

Mr. Florante L. Bergado : Father in heaven, bless now and forever our children.
Let your blessings rest in them. Guide our children in right ways. Make
our children bearers of your blessings. Let them recognize You and go
Your way. Give them light and strength in every situation. Lord Jesus
Christ may your death and resurrection be effective in our children. Give
them fruit of redemption, the Holy Spirit, as light and strength in all works
of their lives. Most Blessed Trinity, bless our children. And we bless them
now in your name.

nourish us with Your life.”

Mr. Karl Jay D. Ramos: For the Holy Mother church, bishops, Priests, through
whom the Body and Blood of Jesus is daily made present that they may

Mischa Luz I. Ventenilla: For Pope Francis, Bishop Jose A. Cabantan, all the priests,

the desire to lead your people to know, love and serve you.
Let us pray to the Lord.

All: Jesus, nourish us with your life. Essential emphasis

good. Let us pray to the Lord.

All: Jesus, nourish us with your life.

Mr. Jun Gallano: For all parents and guardians that we, ourselves be
frequent recipients of the Eucharist and be inspiring examples in words
and in deed of the relevance of the Eucharist in the lives of our children.
Let us pray to the Lord.

All: Jesus, nourish us with your life.

Mrs. Cheryl Ann G. Jumalon : For us, parents, that we may never forget our
solemnobligation to educate our children and to create a family
atmosphere where they are loved. May the loving security we offer our
children, lead them to love God and neighbor more adequately. Let us pray
to the Lord.

All: Jesus, nourish us with your life.

Blood of Christ in the Eucharist makes us more loving, obedient
and respectful to all. Let us pray to the Lord.

Ms. Sharey Tadlas : For all catechists and teachers of the faith, that they may never
grow weary of religiously inculcating to children and to all the depth of
Jesus’ love in the Eucharist. Let us pray to the Lord.

All: Jesus, nourish us with your life.

9
Priest: Lord Jesus, you have given us the Eucharist as the foretaste of that

Priest: God our Father, Blessed be Jesus, whom you sent to be the friend of
children and of the poor. He came to show us how we can love you,
Father, by loving one another. He came to take away the sin, which keeps
us from being friends and make us all unhappy. God our Father, we now
ask you to send your Holy Spirit, to be with us always so that we can live
as your children. God our Father, we now ask you to send your Holy Spirit
to change these gifts of bread and wine into the body and blood of Jesus
Christ, Our Lord.

That night before He died, Jesus your Son, showed us how much You love
us. When he was at supper with His disciples, He took bread, and gave
you thanks and praise. Then He broke the bread, gave it to His friend, and
said: “Take this all of you and eat it, this is my body which will be given
up for you.”

When supper was ended, Jesus took the cup that was filled with wine, He
thanked you gave it to His friends and said, “Take this all of you, and
drink from it. This is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and
everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins
maybe forgiven. Do this in memory of me.”

Let us proclaim the mystery of faith.

MEMORIAL ACCLAMATION (to be sung)

When we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim your death, O
Lord, until He come again, until He come again we proclaim your death, O
Lord.

12
Priest: And so loving Father, we remember that Jesus died and rose again to save
the world. He put Himself into our hands to be the sacrifice we offer you.

All: We praise you, we bless you, we thank you.

Priest: Lord our God, listen to our prayer, send the Holy Spirit to all of us who
share in this meal. May this Spirit bring us closer together in the family of
the Church, with

Francis, our Pope,

Jose, our Bishop,
All the other clergy and all who serve your people.

All: We praise you / we bless you / we thank you.

Priest: Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of
the resurrection, and all who have died in Your mercy: welcome them into
the light of your mercy: Welcome them into the light of face. Have mercy on
us all, we pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with the
Blessed Apostles, and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the
ages, we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life, and may praise and glorify
You through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

THROUGH HIM, AND WITH HIM, AND IN HIM, O GOD, ALMIGHTY

FATHER, IN UNITY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, ALL GLORY AND HONOR
IS YOURS, FOREVER AND EVER.

Amen: (to be sung)

OUR FATHER (to be sung)

Priest: Lord, keep everything bad and harmful away from us. Help us live in
joyful hope, for the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ.

All: For the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory are Yours, now and forever.

Priest: Lord Jesus Christ, you said to your apostles, I leave you peace, my peace I
