It is with great pleasure that I recommend Gillian Pritchett for a teaching position at your school/district.
I had the pleasure to work with Gillian during her final semester as a senior education major at
Wesleyan College. Gillian successfully completed her student teaching (EDU 490) and Professionalism
(EDU 420) under my supervision.

Gillian Pritchett is extremely organized and did a wonderful job planning and executing lessons. While
student teaching at David Perdue Elementary Gillian continuously used a variety of resources in the
classroom. She is adept at manipulating the inactive white board to show relevant videos and programs
that match the standard which she is teaching. Ms. Pritchett also brought in many different materials to
provide hands-on learning opportunities for the students. Ms. Pritchett constantly moved among her
students to promote engagement and monitor learning. To assess the learning of her students, Gillian
effectively used informal as well as formal assessment strategies.

I believe that Gillian Pritchett is an excellent candidate for your school! In addition to being very
prepared to be a classroom teacher she will be a good faculty member who will contribute positively to
the school’s culture.
