WHAT IS EUCERTPLAST?
EuCertPlast is a European wide certification aimed at post-consumer plastics
recyclers.

The purpose of EuCertPlast is to recognise plastics recyclers operating

at high standards. This certification gives confidence to suppliers and
costumers that any input waste plastic and output produced in a certified
facility will be treated according to best practices.

The certification works according to the European Standard EN 15343:2007

and aims at encouraging an environmentally friendly recycling of plastics
by standardizing it. It particulary focuses on traceability in the supply chain,
throughout the recycling process and recycled content quantity in the end
product.

• Implement traceability of collected post-consumer waste
• Determine recycling and trading practices across Europe
• Fulfill REACH requirements and food contact compliance for
recyclers
FOCUS OF THE CERTIFICATION
The certification covers the following areas:

• Operating and environmental permits required for the country of

operation
• Staff training, qualifications and organisation
• Incoming material procedures and controls
• Stock management
• Recycling process and associated mass balance calculation
• Controls on recycled outputs
• Environmental protection
• Subcontracting
• Quality management and traceability
 BECOME A CERTIFIED RECYCLER
1. The recycler selects an accredited EuCertPlast auditor (list available
on the website)
2. The recycling plant is inspected by an auditor on-site
3. Information is exchanged between the recycler and the auditor
4. Third party checks ensure uniformity and rigorosity in all reports
5. The auditor issues a 1-year valid certification
