5 Minutes to Figure it Out

This book delivers on the promise of a Blitz repertoire. You will have to put effort into the book and only the
major defenses are covered as White. However, if you put time and effort into this book your opponent will
have only 5 minutes to figure out the slightly offbeat but sound repertoire.

Ok but not the best learning tool

So far (not finished) it seems written in a less than optional sequence for learning. I get this impression from
many chess books. ..the author is good at chess but not th?y good at organizing a book for pedagogical
purposes

It could be better

It gives you some idea of blitz repertoire preparation, but quick simply. Like most of chess books, a short
chapter of theoretical explanation then endless of games analysis, move by move, piece by piece. You will
soon lose yourself in different challenges during chess game, and forget you're reading a blitz chess opening
repertoire book. The Alekhine Defence is a good choice for blitz open as black (the major topic of this book),
but I would rather like to read the GAMBIT book "Play the Alekhine" written by Valentin Bogdanov, to
learn this opening with more detail opening knowledge.
