COWBOYS

The cowboys are workers of the great haciendas in the immense Colombian plains,

the hot sun accompanies them throughout the day, their work is endless and exhausting; his

diet seems not to provide enough energy to face such hard work. At sunset when their

songs fill the plains with joy and the rest seems to come, the night appears where the dark

takes over the meadows and the ghosts migrate from the underworld, the cowboys speed

the pace; their songs give them peace of mind until they reach safety of your home.

Relaxed in their hammocks, they narrate their experiences during the day. As well, stories

of myths and legends ending like this, the night and start a new day, in the life of the

cowboys.

THE CRANE AND THE SNAKE

A family of cranes lived in a forest near a river; its history is very complicated. Since

his home was in a hole made in a tree; but, there was a drawback, a black cobra lived in the

lower part of the tree, which fed on the eggs of the crane. Desperate I seek advice from his

friend the crab that in the past time had already observed the same story and gladly

designed a strategy to solve his problems, his plan was to make a path of fish from the nest

of a mongoose to the nest of the snake, in order to face them and kill the cobra. Which

happened as planned, thus solving the problem of the cranes. However, there is no happy

ending. Because you should not solve a problem with a bigger problem. The mongoose

returned to find all the eggs of the cranes.

THE MUSEUM THAT WAS A PRISON

This story tells of how, over the years, several governmental organizations have

contributed to consolidate the cultural heritage of Colombia, and gather voices and natural

history of the most important facts of the culture of our country, turning a prison

infrastructure into one of the most important museums where everything related to the

Colombian culture is symbolized and given the name of "national museum". Since that day

many interested in conducting research in science as mineralogy, botany and engineering to

have international recognition. The importance of art, industry, field work and

archaeological collections help to recognize the diversity of ethnicities and multiculturalism

to understand the history of our country.
