To whom it may concern,

The following summary provides details of my most recent experiences as a psychiatric

technician, research assistant, counseling intern, and student. Please refer to my resume for
additional information regarding my six years of administrative and customer service
experiences.
Most recently, I worked on an inpatient acute-care (adult/geriatric) behavioral/psychiatric
hospital unit as a psychiatric technician. Through this position, I was fortunate enough to interact
with patients diagnosed primarily with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders,
substance use disorder, and depression. My responsibilities involved coordinating mental health
care services, assisting in patient assessment, monitor and document care, and identifying the
personal needs of mentally ill patients in an effort to maximize treatment effectiveness.
During the previous year, I worked as a research assistant on multiple projects through both
UMASS Medical School Psychiatry Department and Worcester State University. At UMASS
medical school I worked directly with the data, coding, running analyses on SPSS, and creating
summary reports. At WSU, I had a hand in every task, from writing the HSRB to collecting and
processing data. I presented my latest research at NEPA (2018), EPA (2019), and APS (2019).
Simultaneously, I worked as an Activities Assistant at Life Care Centers of America. My role on
the dementia unit involved creating and implementing memory engaging activities for elderly
residents in the advanced stages of the disease. My ultimate goal aimed to maximize the
resident’s quality of life through our activities and conversations.
Previously, I worked as an intern shadowing multiple individual therapy sessions each involving
different disorders and addiction types, where my responsibilities included observing
behavior/emotional patterns, working with insurance companies, and other administrative tasks.
I also bring to the table knowledge from my majors in college (Major: Psychology;
Concentration: Mental Health) and strong computer proficiencies in MS Word, MS Excel and
SPSS applications. Throughout my studies, I have taken multiple courses in Statistics, Clinical
Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Social Psychology, so I feel
most competent within those domains.
I am confident that I will offer you the passion, creativity, and dedication you are seeking. Feel
free to call me at 978-514-3065 (personal cell) if you need any further information or flow-ups.
Thank you for your time—I look forward to learning more about this opportunity!

Sincerely,
Meagan Ciesluk
